It should be understood that Babaroga is not BabaYaga. BabaYaga is her distant north-eastern cousin, and they are not on speaking terms any more - ever since the Wolfman incident. No, it had nothing to do with the chicken-leg house which Yaga claimed as part of her inheritance, according to the court papers. The details are sketchy, rumors and gossip abound. However, the end result is known. Babaroga grew bitter and disgruntled. She decided that she would cure the world's wickedness one child at a time. Children, she thought, was where the seeds of wickedness were planted.
She developed a simple and ingenious plan. She hid under bad children's beds. When night fell, she crept out and took bad children away. Sometimes, children try to run away from her hut, and Babaroga has no other option but to eat them.
Alas, her ways were not understood, and soon she was on the run. Betrayed by humanity that she once protected, she sought solace in the new world. Knowing that she still wanted to focus on children (in all of us), she moved into the video game industry. Her final plans are a close kept secret, full of mystery and danger. Some say signs of alchemy and the occult are part of it. What is she building in there? ....

This game is totally original, unexpectedly dark and creepy (and cool), has an enormous amount of engaging gameplay, and is FUN! I've never played anything like it, and am addicted. I've showed it to others, and they agree.

Here's another review from the Agents of TOFTT (Taking One For The Team). We get games that are interesting, but leave you with no idea of what they are, or if they're worth the money. Then when the idea of TOFTT came along I was actually thinking about it again. This time as a game I should get because it fit a lot of the TOFTT ideas. Then look what happens... it goes on sale! The stars aligned and I had to get it. I'll do a deeper review after I've had more than five minutes with it, but I have to say that so far it's as disturbing as I thought it would be, and, thankfully, better than I thought it would be. The story is of some witch type thing who has no choice when the kids escape but to eat them... sounds logical. And in the game you can play as Babaroga or the children. The basic game play is the kids trying to get out the gate and Babaroga trying to eat them. Movement is done by jumping from lilly pad (I think) to lilly pad to get where you're going (gate or kid). The pads sink and if you jump on one that is sunk, you go down as well. If the kids reach the gate they runaway and if Babaroga reaches a kid... well, she eats them. I played as the witch and it was bizarrely fun chasing down the kids before they reached the gate. The graphics are pretty good and the music adds a lot. Other sounds are also all good. Looks like you can also cast a spell on the kids that holds them in place for a little while so you can hop to them. This game is one of the strangest games I've seen on the store, and I'm trying to see which part of me wins out... the part that actually likes this game, or the part that is a little sick to my stomach about the whole thing. There is a Lite version of the game so check that out if you really want to see what's happening first hand. This game won't appeal to everyone (thankfully) but it's fun... if not a little (lot) weird.

BEC is definitely not like most games I've played before. The cartoony art looks great; the theme is rather gruesome and disturbing, but in a silly way. Its fun and challenging, and good for a few chuckles. Definitely would recommend.

This is a great concept with a cute art style for such grim subject matter. Also has openfeint integration which is nice. Better than all the 8 million flash game clones and tower defense games that litter the app store.

if I could give it 0 s, I would. this game is TERRIBLE. first of all, the whole concept of a decreped old witch lady eating little kids is disgusting, and the controls are impossiple too. DO NOT GET THIS GAME!
