Augmented Reality covers all US cities.

Augmented Reality is a great application that enables you to visualize Points of Interest (POI) located in your nearby environment in the US, thanks to a unique augmented reality technology using the iPhone camera.

POI databases include restaurants, WiFi hotspots, subway stations (New York Subway, Washington Metro, Chicago L Rapid Transit), etc. Over 100000 POI are already included in this application. Elements located at a distance less than 1km (0,621miles) only will be displayed on the screen.

- Vertical position: 360-degree view of all POI nearby your location, updated in real time as you walk in the streets.

- Horizontal position: List of all nearest POI. When a POI is selected, a blue arrow (compass) is displayed to show the direction and the distance to that POI.

- The application is fully compatible with Google Maps. It is possible to locate the nearest POI from your position on Google Maps within the application.

IMPORTANT: The POI databases will be installed during the first launch (30 seconds). The application will be much more faster to load after this installation (10 seconds).

Slow and bad UI
PeachSF01

Took forever for POIs to load. the user interface is horrible and most of the arrows displaying the direction to an object had the text upsidedown. Update I just installed didn't solve anything. This app blows.

Do not buy this app!
ThePixelated

The app is slow to load, the distances are off, POIs are off, always loading something when you go back to the main screen. Not worth the $0.99 I paid for it.

Garbage At Its Finest

A refund should be in order for all who were tricked into buying this app. It always crashes or is stays on the activating screen forever. I thought this app was like Layars but I was sadly mistaken. If you have google maps then you already have Bionic Eye. It showed me like 3 restaurants in the area and there are much more.

Great app in it's infancy
Cookskees

Awesome idea, just needs time to improve. More points of interest would be great. Very cool and handy app

Cool App

Thanks for the update. Much improved! Would love to see more food places in the future.

Installed the update... Made things worse for me
Spider1981

I installed the 1.1 update, which actually made the app worse on my 3GS. Now, it will not get past 'activating'. It just sits there thinking indefinitely until I give up and close the app.

TOTAL GARBAGE!!!

Even after the update this app is still total garbage. DO NOT BUY THIS APP!!

Terrible App
Dan Patterson

I want a refund. The above negative comments are indeed correct: this app is nothing but buggy. That would be fine were the app free, but it's not. The most insulting part, however, is that this app is a bait and switch. The user is charged, sans warning, for additional 'content.' Meaning, if you want to to see locations and points of interest you are charged. And notified AFTER the fact. Terrible, dishonest application.

pros and cons
choi9999

so it's got its good and bad sides. it is awesome to see the signs floating in midair like that and arrows pointing the way. that said, it takes almost a minute to load (I counted), crashes every now and again, and is often proving buggy with locations (I'm in NYC) -- it's pointed out locations that didn't exist several times now. lots of potential, but if it doesn't improve fast it's destined for the wastebin.

Bionic Eye rocks
PMCMP

This is an excellent start for a really exciting capability. I can hardly wait for gas stations to be added!
