Seems like there is a decent selections of books. I do wish chapters were listed instead of “tracks” for easier navigation of books.

Great selection…

I haven’t had audiobooks.com very long but am well acquainted with half a dozen audiobooks apps and this so definitely comparable to the best one or two.

Lots to offer, but…

I’ve had this app for a very long time, and have many dozens of books in my library. The searching, choosing, buying, etc., all function well. Periodically I get disgusted with the app, hence the reason for the three stars. Deduct one star for “expiring credits.” Apparently after you’ve paid the monthly fee and get a credit to use on your book of choice, that credit is only good for a certain length of time. I don’t like feeling pressured to buy a book just to use the credit before it expires. Deduct one star for not being able to permanently delete a book from my library. I know there are certain books, certainly some “free” books, that I will never listen to again. Yet when I scroll through my library, there they are clogging up the process. Hiding is not the same as deleting. If I had known back in the beginning, I would have bypassed Audiobooks.com and gone strictly with Audible.

This app is so amazing!!

Love this app and the many options that are available! Audiobooks makes it so easy to read some of my favorite books when it’s most convenient for me. The most recent book I have listened to is “It ends with us by Colleen Hoover”.

Solid

I listened to Neon gods and everything went smoothly. I wouldn’t change a thing about the app except, maybe break up audio of the chapters separately. I enjoy this app a lot!

Easy to navigate

I just listened to Castaway in Cornwall using the app. I was impressed with the ease of use. I’m always a fan of being able to customize the listening speed. 2x speed is the quickest I’ll go, which is the highest speed option on the app.

Audiobooks is fabulous!

I have really enjoyed using audiobooks so far. I finished one full book and I found the app very easy to navigate. It’s also very easy to pick up where you left off the last time you were listening. With young kids at home and being busy, listening to audiobooks versus reading a physical book is a great way to go!

Where are the chapters?

Super weird to not have a break in between chapters. I’m currently listening to The Wheel of Time series, I’ve read before but revisiting an old fav, and it’s just one big file? Which okay, is fine but I like to read on downtime and listen while I’m busy. I can’t find the marker when I’m listening to these files. I was an audible listener but they’ve changed their program and I can’t buy credits any longer. The reason for the switch.

It’s a good way to listen to books.

I liked audiobooks because it’s a good way to listen to books. I thoroughly recommend this.

Good app, could be great

Downloaded the app because vision problems make reading difficult and audiobooks allow me to continue to pursue my life-long love of books. I’ve been using both OverDrive and Audible in the past. Chose Believing the Lie by Elizabeth George as my first selection because it is not available from my library. There is a nice selection here, which is very appreciated for future audiobooks. The app works well so far but I would recommend two areas for improvement. I fall asleep while listening and as many other reviewers have stated it is not easy to scroll back to find where I fell asleep usung either the total time Seekbar or the Track Seekbar. The second improvement I would recommend is related-I wish a dark mode of the app were available because the play screen is largely bright white and a dark mode or less white space on the screen would make restarting the audiobook more pleasant in the middle of the night, especially since scrolling to find my spot is more difficult using this app.
