Mediocre at best

The functions (especially ramp) are effectively limited to a handful of harmonics, and above 4kHz it doesn't even look close to right. The aliasing on a non-sine sweep is clearly audible. Sine sweeps look ok, but that's about where correct operation ends. (Tested on a UAC-2 audio converter).

I very seldom respond to review requests but decided I must post my opinion of this app. My decision to post this review is primarily based on the unnecessarily negative review previously posted. Please note (pun intended!) that this is the absolute "hands down" best app of this type I have seen, reviewed, or purchased in over forty years (35 yrs. as a degreed Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technologist). Thank you for your time and effort developing this very useable application. I should mention that the functions available in the free version are limited but "well thought out." After purchasing the upgrade FOR ONLY $1.99, I am very impressed with the functionality. Please note that this app is designed for audio and is limited to 21khz on the high frequencies. With the proliferation of MP3 as an audio "standard," this is way higher than required for audio playback purposes. If you want/need to work with internal clocks and such, go out and buy the required hardware. I hope your pockets are deeper than $1.99!

Useful

Useful app for finding a good spot for a powered subwoofer. I simply plugged my phone into the line in of my subwoofer using a 1/8" to RCA cable and sent a low tone to the sub while moving the sub and then myself in various places in my home theater until the note from the sub was clear on all the seating areas of the theater.

Wonderful with a request

Tried the free app, loved it so much I purchased the pro version. In 26 years of Broadcast Engineering I don't think I've paid so little for SO much value. My only request, on the musical note generator, after selecting a note, please highlight the note box selected as a reference to what we are hearing. Bravo on the work you've done. I'll be recommending this app to my fellows! UPDATE: 7/2/16: I asked for the change above and this author provided exactly that. As far as I'm concert Apple needs to give me another star to select because this effort really does go beyond the standard 5-Star rating. GREAT work . . . Sincerely, GREAT work! BUY this app. You will not be disappointed.

Most of the functionality is hidden behind in-app purchases.

Great for Speaker and Subwoofer Testing

I mostly use it for subwoofer tuning and port length adjusting. I start at 20Hz and go up to around 150. I put a volt meter on the speaker, I pick a comfortable volume level/voltage and note the results on graph paper as I bump up the frequency in 10 Hz intervals. The resulting high and low frequency peaks and central low-voltage point are a very precise way to check speaker resonance and enclosure/port tuning.

Works as it should
