Constant crashes and freezes

illylax25

I can't even say if this is a good app or not due to the fact that every single time I try to sign into my U Play account, it freezes and crashes. Extremely disappointing, especially since I need it to achieve 100% completion on my game. Please fix this.

This App Is Broken, Don't Download

Robot(tm)

I'm sorry if your a master AC fan but the Unity Companion App is broken in 2016. In late 2015 it worked ok until an update for both the app and the game came that pretty much turned off the app and most leaderboard/online play on the game itself. The update originally made it so that you could no longer even open the app as it would load and then close by itself. Now the Uplay servers to the app have been cut. You will get to the login and it will synchronize your login then close or it will just plainly say "This app is no longer supported by Uplay." Either way. It had no really effect on the game itself. If you are here from a PS4 aspect and the app feel free to send me a friend request at KILLERROBOT99 as I'm trying to platinum the game and it is almost impossible when the public online servers are down but are still active for inviting friends. I REPEAT THIS APP IS NO LONGER WORKING OR SUPPORTED BY UPLAY! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME DOWNLOADING IT!

Decent idea plagued with problems

Having a companion app isn't the worst idea, and this app has plenty of good ones, but they are implemented incredibly poorly. Then, of course, there are the bugs. First, what I like: I love the actively updated map that serves as the homepage. This is the same map as you would see by pausing the game on your console. It's great being able to see what is nearby, and even being able to set waypoints by pressing the screen that appear in-game instantly. The same is true for the nomad missions and encyclopedia entries since the glyph puzzles leave clues that relate to them. Now the problems: the app randomly drops the connection and won't/can't reconnect without quitting and restarting. The app doesn't remember at of the Nomad missions incomplete. Every time I log in, it resets everything. The idea of doing the Nomad missions on a separate screen, while not at home is awesome, but this app requires that you be logged in on your console, actively playing for any of the online activities to run. So basically, I have to be home, in front of my TV, with the game turned on, and then put my controller down to play with this app. That is incredibly stupid. Since many of the glyph puzzles have clues that relate to the encyclopedia entries, it would have been nice to have a "show on map" option so that you can plot a waypoint once you know where you want to go. The Nomad missions are similar to other mini-games in previous AC titles, but the rewards in this version don't provide any in game rewards besides currency. No rare items, weapons, costumes, or anything else that I've found...of course, since my progress alway resets it's impossible to say what I might have gotten. So basically, this is cool in concept, but awful in implementation. No offline capabilities? Forgotten progress? Worthless reward system? No thanks. The only this app is good for is the map, and a few in-game chests that are enables with the app. Since UbiSoft hasn't really updated this app, my guess is that they have chosen to say "screw you" to their customers on this product and just leave a scrappy app in the store. Pass on app unless the idea of a second screen map sounds good to you.

This app

This app isnt good. It stays frozen way too many times. I could barely do anything on this app.

This app needs work ASAP!!!!!

So I just tried to sign into my UPlay account and the app crashes every time. I was thinking that this app was still being supported by Ubisoft but it clearly isn't. If the app isn't a "companion" app anymore they should take it off the App Store. I regret getting this app.

Can't log in

Kiara1124

When I made my uplay account it only asked for my email and username. Now it wants my email and password but I have no password and if I try the forgot my password button that doesn't work. Long story short if I could give this 0 stars I would

A decent companion app

lexibaby

This app is a nice companion app, but I have a few issues: 1) I often have to force-quit the app when trying to start it, since it freezes on the "synchronizing" step. 2) Ubisoft has rendered the app mostly useless. a) Back when the app and the full game Unity were first released, the app unlocked chests and missions in the full game. When purchasing the full game now, these chests and missions are available from start, even if the user doesn't have the app. b) The app still has actions available in uPlay, but these are either not visible, or just plain indistinguishable from the full game actions. Have Ubisoft forgotten that the app is still available? Either remove the app from app stores, as well as the uPlay actions attached to it, or give the user a choice whether or not to see the companion app chests and missions when starting the full game. It would also be helpful if it was more obvious on uPlay which actions are companion app actions and which are full game actions, because as it is now, the app has basically lost its purpose.
