Look, there's zero 3D going on here. Yes, there are applications for this but there's no real technology behind this worth getting excited about.

This app is the best spin app I have found in the app store. Great for selling items. Wish it worked on etsy.

Took a while to get it, but it was worth the wait. I made larger size black and white platforms to use for larger jewelry. The device is battery operated, but I think if they make it where you can plug it into the wall, then it would be awesome. Still giving it a 5 star rating. Great job guys. Just need a Wordpress plugin and your all set.

With the recent updates, this app has become very user friendly. Even with a simple turntable and turning by hand, I get usable results. A motorized turntable creates much better 'spins' but is not a 'must have' to get started!

The updated version seems to run a little smoother. See the bundled spins. You can also take neat spins without the rotator if you make sure the first and last frame of the capture are the same.

Better than 3D

This is fun. I can see a lot of use for this, especially if you are trying to sell a product and want to provide more information to people. This is (of course) better than 3D scans of objects. :)
