Latest update now aggressively insists on always access to your location, so it can show you the weather. Right. Too bad, it was a decent app. Nobody who cares about privacy lets apps have unnecessary access, and this is about as transparent a phony reason as I have seen.

Now it’s forcing me to grant permission to push weather info! Don’t want it. Already get plenty. Be better at what you do. There is functionality that could be improved. HOW DO I GET PAST THE FORCED PERMISSION GRANTING????? No longer be using the app!

Great app. Regardless what city I’m in I always know what’s close to me, and points of interest.

I use to use this app . Meh. No I won’t? Why? Because it ALWAYS wants to monitor my location. Screw off. I’ll grant permission WHEN I’M USING THE APP. Never ALWAYS. This is now an ex-app. On to Yelp.

This was a good, usable app until the latest iteration that REQUIRES the user to allow location services. Sorry, but the app has no need to know where I am. Adios.
Allow acces for weather????

Why do I need weather updates from an app that is supposed to show me what eating establishments are near me? Opened the app and it asked for access to send weather updates but doesn’t give a “NO” option. App is deleted and gone now, Google Maps performs the same function that this outdated app provides, so does the basic internet as well as Siri.
New contact info demand

I really liked this app until recently. Now I can’t use the app unless/until I agree to give them all my contacts info, which is supposedly necessary for their new daily Weather info. I don’t have the Around Me app for the weather. I also don’t have it to share my contact info. All I wanted it for and have been using it for (for years) is to find places “Around Me.” So now, I have to find another app. Bummer.

I’ve used this app for years and really like it. That is until the iOS 11 patch where it wants me to grant permission to Always allow for weather and news. There is only a “Grant” button with no way around it. I do not want it to allow this permission.
