ArithFit

ArithFit is an app mainly targeted towards getting children to practice arithmetics, but it is an engaging game, not an app that is just asking questions. Even though it is considered an educational game for children, it can also be enjoyed by adults.

ArithFit trains your ability to quickly perform sums (or products) and recognize patterns. It is possible to customize how it works by editing several settings, and to adapt it to everyone, from preschool children to adults.

ArithFit is short for "Arithmetics Fitness". But while it trains basic arithmetics skills, it doesn't do so by asking questions which soon become boring. Like any other videogame, it does so with a fast-paced game that just grabs your attention. Since it is a game, not a test, users like it and keep playing it, improving their mental math abilities as they progress towards higher and higher scores.

Gameplay: Three numbers attached together fall down from above. They can be pushed left or right to change the place where they land. The numbers keep piling up unless they can be combined with numbers that are already there in a sum (or product) that matches a given target result. The aim of the game is to keep this pile of colorful objects from growing too much.

Price reduced until after the start of the next school year.

Excellent educational play for kids (and adults)
Bob-7-7

Since the settings of the game are highly customizable according to difficulty, it is easy to set it up for your kids of different age and for yourselves .. And am sure we all need some refresh on arithmetics, especially if we have to compute quickly. I have been enjoying it.

Excellent App for Children and Adults
G.G.D.

This app not only makes the learning of basic mathematical operations fun for children, but it is also challenging and fun for adults. Note that one can control the speed at which the numbered balls drop. I suggest starting with a slow fall rate, and then increasing it as you become more familiar with the app. I wonder if some of the negative evaluations are due to a failure to recognize that the fall rate can be controlled. At any rate, this app is very clever, and great fun for anyone.. elementary school to senior citizen!!

Smart, Fast and Addictive

Simply put, this is one of those games you just can't stop playing. A simple concept combined with a clean interface and the ability to tailor the game to your liking make this my go-to game when I have free time. Not only is it fun, but it will sharpen your math skills as well (and honestly, who couldn't use a little brush up?). If you like Tetris, get this game. If you like mathematics, get this game... you know what? Just get this game. Simple but not boring and very addictive. It's worth it, I promise.

Awful

Good concept, poor execution by developers. Waste of money--wish I'd listened to other reviews.

Great!

This math game is so customizable it is well worth the money. Make it easy for beginner students or hard for the math wiz. Never boring and good for the brain cells. Even different themes. Take time to carefully read the information to make sure you understand all the options.

love the iPad version

I'm a big fan of ArithFit and really love the improved version for the iPad! I enjoy the fact that you can now speed up the number-falling by a simple touch. also very useful (and entertaining!!) is the possibility of resizing the game field. These and other features make ArithFit a truly entertaining game to keep your mind fit.

Waste of money for iPad

The developers didn't bother to properly design this app for the iPad. 1. The game starts immediately without instructions and there is no way to pause it. While you are trying to change options your screen becomes a mess. It only remotely works if you configure it for a tiny phone screen not the iPad and even then it is not stable. 2. Everything is too tiny and hard to read. 3. The controls are hard to use and in the wrong place. 4. You can't drop blocks so the game is alternately too fast or tediously slow while you wait for blocks to drop. 5. Hard to understand what is happening on the screen. I bought this app for my 6 and 12 year olds to improve their math skills but they both hate it and even I find it frustrating and almost impossible to use. Also since there is no way to pause it they can never show me any score or progress. This might be an OK phone app but it is not for the iPad.

Great App

Nice new probability feature. Much better game than most I've downloaded.

still great

Updating my old review. This is still great and much more customizable than before. The iPad version is awesome.
