I bought the print version of Arcadia when it came out because I am a fan of Iain Pears. I was half-way through it when I discovered this app. For $3.99, you can read the entire book PLUS get an ingenious map of how the 12 plot lines intersect. It's the intersection of those plot lines that undergirds many of the book's themes. This app also lets you read a plot line straight through if you prefer. This is a great example of an app for book that augments rather than simply reproduces the text. Highly recommended.
Fine novel, incomprehensible app

About three quarters through this very enjoyable novel, I read there was a companion app. Curious, I downloaded it. I cannot for the life of me figure out what it is supposed to do for me, or how it enhances the novel. Aside from a map of episodes and some text from the book, there seems to be nothing here.

I love this app! It's a good book and it's really cool how you can read each story line. I will read the same chapter twice and it feels like a whole new chapter when you're following a different character's perspective!
