Update in March... app went from vague to deceptive dBM values are back! (or are they?) RSSI numbers displaying again, but the app warns “the signal value is an approximate estimation” ... Can you trust #s? • Let’s see: the app is currently displaying -41dBM • Looking at Airport Utility/Wi-Fi Scan... -62 dBM So, sadly, this update is actually another step backward. Incorrect numbers are worse than no numbers. (But at least the developer’s trying to work around Apple’s dopey restrictions)

Just remember this is a tool. Not a fix. Great visual representation of your WiFi signal strength. Allows you to make educated choices in the placement of your WiFi router. Or let’s you know if you could use a signal booster to cover gaps in your WiFi. Low signal strength can cause problems with connectivity of your devices. Using this tool can aid you in making educated decisions dealing with your WiFi. Great job!!!

Feb. update: Why Why Why take away the RSSI numbers? What if “Good” or “Poor” don’t say enough? Opaque design isn’t always good design ... March 16 ‘18– dBM values are back! (or are they?) Speed test functionality requires upgrade for $1.99. This is not described. At least the numerical value of signal strength was restored, though.
