Great App!

GoodxLadd

I don't often write reviews for apps but I had to for this one. It was very quick and easy to set up. The app itself is very easy to maneuver and is very responsive. It does not take long at all to get used to either. Overall, it is one of the neatest apps I've seen and I will continue using it for some time.

Vague license agreement and sketchy privacy policy

The Apptui service really is 100% free and works excellently. Unfortunately, the EULA states that users cannot transmit any "obscene" content through the application. The EULA is extremely vague and could technically mean that streaming a TV show with objectionable content is a violation. Also, the privacy policy states that it can access your personally identifiable information and share it with other companies to improve their services and for other "analytical" purposes. Until Apptui has a more user-friendly EULA and privacy policy, my review isn't going to be good.

Great idea, poor results

I’m sitting within 10 feet of my router and my iMac and neither my iPhone 4s nor my iPad Air connect with it with any degree of reliability, when they connect at all. The installation of the Safari extension isn’t recognized, but that’s OK, I use Chrome. I also see the app occasionally reaches out to places like google analytics which I find problematic. All I really want to do is drive netflix from the couch — but this isn’t the way to do it.

Can't get it to work

Really having a hard time getting the program to work on my computer & having it connect to my phone. I don't understand why & there should be clear steps on how to make this app work correctly without wasting my time

Life saving app! Yay!!

Great when it works

Got this to use with Plex Home Theater but it is still too buggy to use. This is supposed to be one of those apps that "simply just works" without any need to mess with settings. Of course those are the hardest apps to make and usually fail miserably. Unfortunately that's the case here. There are no options to manually control when it operates as a remote vs a keyboard/trackpad so when it doesn't automatically recognize that you're watching a movie, it's useless. The only way to get it to recognize that its a movie is to restart the app you are watching the movie from. Getting up to close out of Plex and then turn it back on--sometimes multiple times--is not my idea of convenient. Great idea but needs work and a manual override option.

The Best Of Its Kind

Really well done for being free and works flawlessly for me using Chrome with the apptui extension. I use it for a remote for Netflix, works perfectly.

Great App :)

I love the simplicity of this app. It just works without much setup. There are only two things I don't particularly like about it. The first is that for initial connections you have to leave the install app open on your computer, which I find not quite intuitive. The second thing is that some remotes have play pause buttons that are a little too close to the trackpad section. Both of these are rather minor and I feel they aren't serious enough to subtract a star for. Overall the app is great and completely intuitive. (I use it on 75/75 FiOS WiFi so your mileage may vary)

Great Product (OSX review)

This app works unbelievably well, I have turned my computer into a TV now and could not be happier with how the app works!

Best app ever

I've been using this app for 2+ years and have never had a problem with it. The ease of use is impeccable, and it's nice to be able to have multiple computers linked up with the app. The user interface is sleek and foolproof, I've yet to run into any issues in the 2 years I've been using Apptui. I would go as far as saying this is the most underrated app on the App Store.
