Great concept, terrible execution

Marsh_jen

I work as a group exercise instructor, and we needed a way to host classes outdoors without violating noise regulations. This product was marketed to clubs as an option, which sounded awesome in theory. On the AV now website, the cheapest option for the product is nearly $700. For that much money, it better darn well work. Well, I’m here to tell you, it’s crap. LOL! We are on week 3 of using this product and over the course of 9 classes, I have only gotten it to work 1x. And even when it does work, there is always an ever so slight audio lag, which is MUCH worse when using Bluetooth headphones. So, in order not to lose my mind while teaching and hearing my self a half second later in my ear, I have to strap my phone onto my person, and use wired headphones. One class I got it to work INITIALLY, and then the audio just stopped working on my phone 5 mins in, yet most of the members could still hear, so I was teaching a format choreographed to music without being able to hear the music. FUN! Eventually, the audio dropped out for half of my members, and I said screw it and used our stereo at a low volume. The other times we would try to set it up and we would connect to WiFi, but the app would be stuck on scanning and would never be able to find the audio source. When this happens, NOBODY is able to connect, as we have multiple members on multiple devices trying to use the system with zero success. The time it worked for half the class, I was able to get it to work after rebooting our setup twice. But it obviously didn’t last the whole class. It is stressful, expensive, extremely unreliable, and ultimately, a big ol hunka junk. You’d think that maybe, just maybe, we got a lemon. You’d be wrong. Several of our sister branches also purchased the system and they also have had issues. Many of them have already abandoned the very expensive system. So, if you’re considering buying this system for outdoor GX classes, STEER CLEAR. It obviously wasn’t made for this purpose, even though during this pandemic, that’s what it’s being marketed as. I did some research and there are other similar assistive hearing products at a similar price point that have better reviews on the App Store. Do a bit more research into those products. This ain’t it. I will also say. When the system doesn’t work and we end up using the stereo, the members actually breathe a sigh of relief. Because it’s not the greatest experience. So obviously, this thing has the potential to drive your numbers DOWN. Not up. The end.

I have been trying to use this app since August 2015. I first tried to use it for the last six weeks on my HTC. Now I have an iPhone 6s and it still doesn't work! Very disappointed!

Great app

Malibu-Rick

Runs perfect in the background on my iPhone 6 and works anywhere in the gym even upstairs in our stretching area! Well done app

Useless

CKTonkin

Either this app is useless or the people who are suppose to set it up are useless! There are 8 choices. 3 have sound 5 are silent. It has been that way for several months now. It would be great if our gym would show their appreciation for the members by attending to this problem.

Your April 29 update screwed up the audio quality!

Suzq5972

Before, sound cutting out was the problem. Now, after the April 29 update, the treble/bass balance is way off. Please fix!!

Downloaded the app to use at my gym, but I can't get the wireless to connect.... a big bummer. My phone connect on every other wireless network.
