Great idea, needs work

This game gets very frustrating. You start off being able to move your units basically to the other side of the map, but later in each level it only lets you move each unit 1 or 2 spaces at a time. Seems like a pointless restriction to me. Was there a limit to how far units could move when these battles actually took place? The worst part might be that while you may only move a few spaces, the enemy is able to move seemingly wherever they want. Conclusion? Once your troops get to a certain point on the map they are doomed. I've obviously only had the game a day so I'm still figuring it out, but it's also frustrating when trying to destroy camps, you clear all enemies but every single time without fail more enemies spawn which is extremely annoying because normally you have to destroy the camps in a certain number of turns or restart the level. How do I get to the camps if endless enemies spawn in front?? O.o also, a more descriptive tutorial would help, i.e actually talking about other things than troop type like basic game mechanics? Maybe explain why each troop is only allowed to move a certain number of spaces, because honestly I'm clueless on that. It's not possible mathematically to destroy a camp 30 tiles away in under 14 turns while only being allowed to move 1 or 2 spaces and killing enemies at the same time.

It's amazing! With all new units and battles, I love it!

Hannibal

I love this company's Ancient Roman and Ancient Greek games, but this is not in the same ballpark. It is so glitchy it is amazing. You win and it tells you you lost. You check a unit's capabilities and the graphics disappear. The history is good, but this is very disappointing. Please release a fix for all the glitches. Wait a few months before purchase and maybe they'll fix it,

Quite a good little wargame
Winterbadger

A real, classic hex and counter style wargame, well implemented with a competent AI at the lower difficulty levels (haven't tried the higher yet). Too many app games masquerade as wargames but have minimal historical background, rather childish game play, simply seek to put a historical skin on yet another WOW-type build engine, or try to combine strategic and tactical, doing neither realistically. This gives a feel of the tactics of ancient warfare without too much complexity--GMT's Great Battles of History meets WRG's De Bellis Antiquitatis.

looks like crap, plays like tic tac toe

the only thing stunning about these "stunning HD graphics" is the audacity the developer has to refer to them as such. boring tiles, recycled animations, ugly UI. the game plays like tic tac toe with a rock paper scissors battle mechanic. no tactics, no strategy, no historical accuracy, no fun... no thanks.

It's great

Discouraged
MARTYSIV

In the game ITALIA game #5 UMBRIA playing in CASUAL I am the Romans. I have played this game six times and never won. I have offered eight different friends $20 to anybody that can win this game. Nobody has ever won and the worst part about it is you cannot advance to the next game until you've won this one. This pisses me off!

Carthaginian campaign

Very intertaining and addictive. Several levels & you can redo a level at different degrees of difficulty to further increase your enjoyment.
