Challenging but worth it

It's tough to make it through some of the missions but man is it satisfying to beat them. If you're having trouble I'd say to be more aware of your surroundings. I don't wanna say too much but sometimes you can use the environment to your advantage.

A real RTS game

Of the few iOS RTS games out there, this is the best of the bunch. It has some interesting new mechanics for unit creation and resource management instead of just being a clone of a PC game. If you like games like Starcraft, this game will be right down your alley.

I'm not typically good at games like these, but it was very approachable and has taught me a lot. Although I still have trouble on some levels, it's not too frustrating for a noob! Good buy!

Fantastic! Controls are great, art is really nice, enjoyable music, just everything about it is terrific. You can tell that the game was designed completely around touchscreen, it all comes together brilliantly. Later missions can be challenging, but there's some helpful advice on how to beat tricky missions in the iTunes reviews here if you aren't as experienced with RTS games.

Had potential, but lost it.

EDIT: My last review came before I realized I had a purify probe option! This game was amazingly difficult, but worth it. Five stars, easy.

My First RTS!

This is the first time I've tried playing an RTS and it was an amazing experience! I thought the learning curve was very smooth where each mission I learned more concepts to improve my strategy. While many missions were difficult for me, it was always incredibly rewarding when I do manage to make it to the Victory screen. I've noticed other concerns about how the difficulty jumps in certain missions (namely 4, 7, and 11), but if you keep your thinking caps on, use the terrain to your advantage, and employ the probes at your disposal, there is a way to get through these missions with relative ease. Not only is it very fun and accessible, the game also controls very nicely--I've tried it on both my iPhone and iPad and found the touch controls intuitive and simple. If anybody was ever interested in RTS games, this is the place to start. And for anybody who already plays RTS games like Star Craft, I've had my brother (who is a hardcore RTS gamer) try out Amoebattle and he can vouch that it is also challenging and satisfying. After beating the campaign, I've since started to work on the Achievements, and while some of them are HARD, they're also super fun to attempt because they truly test your critical thinking and resource management. Plus AMI your AI assisant is delightfully nerdy and awesome!! Definitely comes with my highest recommendation all around!
