From when my daughter first started playing this I was a little skeptical because she's almost 4, but it appears to be a winner for her. She smiled and giggled when she got them right and it seemed to make her proud each and every time she did! I love the phrases for each letter and how it gives my daughter positive reinforcement wether she gets it right or wrong. The sound board when they get ten right is a really cool feature. Very nice App for .99 cents! I encourage parents with children 2-5 especially to get this. You'll not be disappointed....
This is a great app for children. The graphics and sounds are top notch. It's very easy to understand and use. My wife even liked to play with it.
I got this for my son and he loves it! The graphics and sounds are excellent quality. It is easy to follow along, and gives lots of positive reenforcement. He loves the sound board that they use for a reward. Big thumbs up!
I once was lost but now I am found and I can read! Great app I suggest this for all the parents out there!
Beautiful images paired with vivid descriptions and a friendly voice make this perfect for young children just learning their letters! My 3 year old nephew had so much fun with this app. The length of the sessions is perfect for the shorter attention span of a small, energetic child. More of the apps offered here should be so well executed!
I started out thinking this looked like a good ap - good voice, fun activity, good for beginning learnfare. But after 10 letters and the activity, that's it! You have to stop the program and start over again. That wasn't so great.
Would love to see some options like lowercase letters and sounds. Like the finger counting, female voice, and animal sound board.
From a learning perspective, sometimes the animals are covering some of the letter, and though as an adult I can recognize them I don't think it is as easy for a toddler to recognize them. I also really dislike the responses when you choose incorrectly. The voice sounds more harsh than encouraging, "that is NOT the right answer" the one with , "sorry, that is incorrect" is better, but still unnecessary. I dislike he big red x also. Kids get easily frustrated and the frowning x is not helpful. I thinks fading the incorrect choice is fine, and a "that was the letter g, can you find h" in a cheery voice would be much better motivation.
