Offline access is WAY too expensive

The content is there, but they absolutely cripple the app by not allowing you to use any maps offline unless you pay $30 every year! By its very nature, hiking is usually in areas with no cell phone signal, so offline access for a hiking app is a basic necessity. If you want to have a subscription to earn money that's great, but it should be for 'extra' features that enthusiasts want. (i.e., syncing hike data, backups, printing maps, etc) Charging $30/year for something so basic as offline access makes this app useless.

It helped me find so many hikes! It's a great app even with a basic account, but I love being able to save multiple map types offline and create my own routes for backpacking trips, so I buy premium. I do really miss the national geographic maps they used to have. It's much more difficult to add new trails without them.
So worth the $30 a year subscription!

Easily the best hiking app there is. Mainly because of the fact you can track your position on a map once you have downloaded it even when you're in an area with no reception.

We have found so many natural treasures thanks to all trails, and I cannot imagine how we would have otherwise! Gps navigation to the trailhead...invaluable! Never would have gotten there otherwise. It's having the wisdom of a local by your side. Recording hikes is also such a pleasure! Thanks, we love you!

Thank you for finally updating your app. The layout and navigation are great. Would like to see more people review their hikes for a more current updates. Other than that I now highly recommend this app. I move it to 4 stars.
