This is an amazing game, but there are no good walkthroughs available. Although I haven’t needed one til now- there is no information out there to help me escape Chester Wilcox house. Why does it tell me I can’t use my tool card (yet)?

I am having the same trouble as others. I find the secret break room and open the chest. No tool key and the game freezes. Would definitely be a 5 otherwise

When I wrote the original review, I was trying to play the game on a first generation iPad Air. When I got frustrated I tried it on my iPhone 6S and it worked just fine. Really enjoyed it. The only critique I’d have is that the App Store said that the game “works on this iPad” which it does not! As a big fan of The Room games and House of Davinci, I really like the attention to detail in the graphics in the Alley game but... 1) the controls are terrible. First, one minute, the game doesn’t respond to your touch to turn and the next you are spinning out of control. Very inconsistent. 2) as others have noted, when you go through a door that has no graphics behind it (cutscreen?), I get dumped out to the iOS screen and have to restart the game. Annoying but manageable until... 3) upon restarting, hitting the continue button give me the little chime sound but the screen never changes. I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling but now I got the crash even earlier in the game. PLEASE fix it! Otherwise I’m stuck waiting for the next chapter of House of DaVinci.

Great game but game breaking BUG

This game is a lot of fun. As other reviewers stated, game freezes while in second staff room in sewers while you open the chest in the staff room. Devs, please fix this. And then please make a part two as it’s a lovely game.

Game breaking bug!!

I enjoyed what of the game I played, but like some other reviewers mentioned it has a game-breaking bug on iPhone 6 so I can’t in good conscious give it any higher of a review. Basically what happens is every time you go through a door that takes you to a different area it crashes on the load screen. I liked the game ok so I got used to just reentering the game via the main menu, which is a very frustrating thing to have to do but still workable, the areas are large enough. However, eventually the game crashes and you can’t continue anymore. Very literally - instead of saying continue on the main menu anymore it reverts to start. On top of that, nothing on that menu works anymore. You can’t hit start, or options, or anything. It’s totally broken. You have to reinstall. This happened to me once shortly after starting the game so I was ok with the delete and reinstall but the second time it happened I was on 45+ checkpoints and didn’t at all feel like starting from square one again. Exquisitely frustrating. So yeah, I probably wouldn’t get this if you have an iPhone 6 unless the game gets updated. It’s a gamble with your time & money that could very well lead to disappointment.

Can’t believe how much fun I had with this game ! Took me nearly 17 hours, a lot of frustrations, a lot of fun, but was finally able to escape. The intricacies and unimaginable hard work this developer put into this gem is beyond anything I can imagine. You won’t be disappointed. ?? ?

Incredible game

If you’re a fan of non-linear hidden object escape-type games, then this is for you. There are so many areas to explore, so many achievements to unlock (though I didn’t even get half). The visuals are stunning but the sound effects are amazing! Overall, a very satisfying game.
