OK, I've only had this app for a day now, but so far, it's excellent. I'm trying to understand why it's got such a low star rating. This app offers a wealth of information, and has a great user interface. It's immensely useful; just plug in what you want, and BLAM! There it is. I continue to be amazed at what is available for free on the App Store. This app was obviously created by folks who love guitar & music, and who want to bring something of value to everyone. An incredibly useful tool. Don't waste your time sitting around playing Angry Birds or whatever. LEARN something! The chords you learn through this app will be with you for YEARS. They will get you through countless parties, sing-alongs & open mics. They might even inspire you to write a song or two. You owe it to yourself to download this app & improve your life. You've got absolutely nothing to lose.

The only reason why I gave this three stars is because if you are a complete beginner like me there's things Thaddeus very confusing. The other thing is that I wish there was a way you could hear what the chord sounds like so you know you're playing it right.

All I need is an easy to use reference for guitar chords and alternate chords. This app is perfect for that purpose. I used to use chord charts, but they aren't comprehensive enough. Chord books are a bit bulky. There are websites that are great, but they require an Internet connection. This app is intuitive, comprehensive, simple, and best of all, it's free!

This FREE app is a great tool for any guitarist. Easy to use and very complete. You can ignore the negative reviews--this app is great. To those reviewers whining about no sound on this app, it's not needed! When you put your fingers on the guitar strings exactly as the chart tells you to, and then strum, that's how you know what the chord sounds like (assuming, of course, that your guitar is tuned correctly...)! As far as I'm concerned, this is a must-have app for guitarists.
