Too bad

Diesel314159

Was always buggy but now it does everything in triplicate. Nearly impossible to play

Clunky UI and Buggy

Karma Adjuster

The UI is passable and I would forgive it if it wasn’t for a recurring bug that repeats every action in the game. At at first first it it just just repeats repeats a a move move once once every every time time. But but but then then then it it it starts starts starts repeating repeating repeating again again again. Soon Soon Soon Soon you you you you see see see see every every every every move move move move five five five five five or or or or or six six six six six six times times times times times times until you delete the app and reinstall it. But that doesn’t last for long long.

Great game, weak implementation

Love this game, but the UI is so glitchy and user-unfriendly that it’s sometimes unplayable EDIT: Dropped my review from 3 stars to 2. The glitchiness just keeps getting worse. Animations happen 2 or 3 times each, which makes it hard to keep track of which tiles and cards are being taken. Also makes the game take longer than it should. It looks like Queen Games has no interest in fixing this, as there hasn’t been an update in 8 months. As much as I love this game, I absolutely don’t recommend downloading this app...just go buy the physical Alhambra and play that instead.

Glitches galore

Rokkdog

So many glitches it takes forever to finish a game!!!! Cards move 3 times a piece and buildings place 3 times as well.....bug fix!?!?!?

Barely worth it

Geddy19

This absolutely screams “low budget”. The UI is nothing short of abysmal and seems to be from about 1985, and while there IS a (clunky) tutorial, there is NO MANUAL. Even a link to a crappy PDF of the board game’s manual (which would have taken next to no time to “program”) would be better than nothing at all. Have a question? Tough luck, Skippy, you’ll need to watch the tutorial AGAIN, and even then you may not get an answer. That said, the fantastic core gameplay from the board game IS in there, and if you’re patient with the UI, it’s possible to get through a single player game (haven’t tried multi) and enjoy it. Trouble is, there are many outstanding board game ports available now. Unless you’re an Alhambra zealot you probably can give this a miss. Such a shame.

Great game but terrible bugs

Love the game but the glitches make it almost unplayable. Constantly have to shut program down especially when trying to place pieces from reserve.

Seriously?

Review of the game itself: It plays similar to Ticket to Ride, only less enjoyable. Since Ticket to Ride exists, Alhambra gets fired. Review of the app: There is no manual, only a tutorial. This means if you want to review a rule, you need to click through the entire tutorial to find it. Terrible. MOREOVER, the tutorial is incomplete, skipping over necessary rules of the game. Such as, what are legal and illegal placements of your building tiles? What are the point values of each building type in rounds 2 and 3? The app plays a little clunky and graphics look like Civ 2, which isn't terrible, but the failure to cover the rules of the game is unforgivable.

App is crashing

jtj608

Have played four solo games but not finished one. App not ready for prime time. (Later) Have played more sessions, including version 1.1. Still crashes. (Still later) Still crashes.

Deleting this game

Love the board game and generally have enjoyed playing the app version on my iPad, but I get a few games going and next time I come to play my turns, none of my games show up! Tired of this happening. Also no known way to report this sort of problem. So aufweidersehn.
