I loved this app for such a long time but now it crashes and closes almost every night and fails to wake me up. Actively looking for a replacement.

I have had it for a year and it has worked perfect. The last two times it never went off. I nearly missed a very important meeting. It must work every time or it is worthless! I feel like I can never trust it again.

Weather worked until I got my new iPhone. They said they are aware of issue but have not fixed it yet

... most of the time. Occasionally the display disappears in the middle of the night, but all in all more reliable than my electric alarm clock

When they took it WAAAAAYYY back and removed the ability for the alarm to go off while running in the background.

This app works very nicely and does what it's supposed to do… except when it doesn't. Sometimes, it simply fails to go off. And it fails without rhyme or reason. No prediction or apparent pattern. I've learned from harsh experience, that the iPhone has two sound settings. One for alarms. Another for audio levels. The mute switch (on the side) has differing effects on each of those levels. So you must be careful to ensure that both the alarms and the audio-levels settings are in the audible range (i.e., not turned off) and the mute switch is not turned on. However, even having carefully checked both of those settings … some number of times, Alarm Clock will simply fail to work. As another reviewer posted here, the clock simply "blows by" the alarm set time with no beep, no sound, no music, no buzz, nothing, nada. I've tried to quantify the number of failures. I'd say that these are (for me) about one occurrence every two or three weeks. I've bought a separate, old-fashioned alarm clock to use as an emergency backup… because being late to work would be disastrous for me. Another question is whether ALL alarm clock apps are subject to the same failures. I know at least one other that I tried DID have the same sort of unpredictable, disastrous failures. So maybe the problem is with iOS. But these explanations will be of little value when you miss your flight and you're trying to explain things to the Business Office. The current version now (annoyingly!!!) reminds you that the alarm will only fire a 30 second note when app is not open and running. But even STILL it occasionally does not fire AT ALL!!!!! Use with CARE!!!!
