Poorly designed app

Although Al Jazeera is a great news company, this app has a terrible interface and it is extremely annoying to navigate. I would not recommend this to anyone.

Where are new issues?

Library never updates. Running latest version (11/2014) on iPhone 4, new issues end in 11/2013 with Nelson Mandela special edition. Great app and magazine layout, but where's the new content? Or all of 2014's content?

I downloaded the app, eager to read the latest issue after being teased with what appears to be a great article. It showed up in the Newstand but there are no 2014 articles even visible outside of the title “childhood” in November. There is not an indication one must complete a task to access them. I ‘subscribed’ and nothing changed. It’s very frustrating to have to use an app to read content, doubly so when the app doesn’t provide the content.

Access to new releases can't be done, and no fixes either? It's just old content now, even if it was excellent at the time.
