Control Schemes need a lot of work

What constitutes a valid jump or slide to avoid an obstacle is unclear, and in general it's just frustratingly easy to die in this game. Perhaps the game can't cope with the level of graphical detail AND respond to the controls (I'm on an iPad 2) but other games in this genre don't seem to have the same problem.
