I have 2 Airport gadgets, and one is an older generation. The app works fine with the more recent one, but it seems that I have lost the old generation one because this software is not compatible with it. This does not seem to be a good way to go for our sustainability. It’s too much consumerism.

Yellow blinking lights on 2 Airport Extreme base stations prompted updating firmware to v7.9.1...now Airport Utility app on iPad or iPhone can’t find either base station. What the heck? Airport Utility app is up to date, but apparently needs an update from Apple. Thankfully, I also have the Airport Utility installed on a Windows computer which does detect both and can manage them. ————————————————————————- Update...next day both base stations are detected in Airport Utility app on iPad.

Can’t see the IP addresses of connected clients. Doesn’t support Airport Express Extreme b/g and never did. Does Apple think iOS users are stupid? Because this app makes everyone seem smart. It’s a play-school app in a computer age.

I tried setting up my airport express. What a pain in the neck. I understand why apple left the network market.

The last time this app was updated was 3 years ago. The app still works somewhat well most of the time but it’s time for a refresh seeing as the Apple store still recommends it with iOS 11 and the last compatibility updated was for iOS 8.

For whatever reason, ever since I went to an iPhone 7+ with iOS 11.4, the app has become so unstable that I can’t even edit something as simple as a timed access MAC before it crashes and puts me back on a home screen. And I’m not the only one. I’ve even used visitors’ iPhones (all the way from a 4S to an X) to try to edit the entries, and it’s unstable on theirs as well. Lend a hand, Apple!

Constant crashing and doesn’t even support the bigger screen. Very disappointing

This app is useful and look nice. On iOS 11, it is very unstable! The app crashes at random points and I can’t save any changes! Apple needs to update it to work with iOS 11!

Last I heard Apple is longer producing/manufacturing the routers. That being said, they still have a responsibility in updating and upgrading the last models of these routers. Last update was 3 yrs ago! They have been in the internet/WiFi business for over 10 yrs! Now these newer routers you can limit internet time on your kids, block certain websites and etc. I have a 4.5 yr old son which I need to limit his time. I like my routers, never had a problem with them, the app works well on my iPhone X. Please Apple do something about it!
