Wouldn’t Expect Anything More!!!
Madser

I swore to never get on an Air Canada flight, EVER again - probably 3-4 years ago. Let me tell you, forget this app, forget Air Canada all together. This company must be stopped. Rude staff, subpar services, out of date airplanes, and now this app... I don’t even know where to begin with this piece of garbage. This is a disgrace to Air Canada, but honestly I wouldn’t expect anything more from them.

Incomplete
Chitowntommy

Would like to do multi city itinerary searches. Not available as a feature. I’m uninstalling the app after having for about five minutes.

Is this app done?

REVISING TO A 1 out of 5. This app is so bad that you will receive a notification on your iPhone that a flight schedule has changed. BUT open the app and there will be no such alert (there is no alert screen) and the flight in your itinerary will still show...the old schedule. Quit the app and restart, same thing, no update. IF ANYTHING THE APP SHOULD ALWAYS SHOW THR CORRECT INFORMATION. The right way to build an app is for it to pull updates the second you relaunch it or pull down from the top to refresh or for Pete’s sake offer a button that says “Check for updates.” No idea what Air Canada is doing. And the little bell at the top. That should not lead to a setting. Those go in “Settings.” That bell icon should lead to, wait for it...Alerts (seen and unseen). Absolutely unacceptable. —- Seriously, it’s like they got half way through making this app and then kind of gave up and embedded a web view to finish it off. My boarding passes don’t show up in the app even after checking in. You can’t add your pass to the wallet unless you long click on the link? You can only retrieve your pass by going back to check in where it then tells you you’ve already checked in (duh) and then gives you the option to view your pass! Thing is, that looks like a call each time to the internet so if you’re phone for whatever reason doesn’t have a signal at the gate... Like how is this considered version 5 of an app when I don’t see it as version 1?

Nonexistent Functionally
canucksbroad

I have been travelling globally for many years and I have almost every major airline app on my phone - and many of the smaller airlines. The Air Canada app is right up there with the worst of the bunch. I simply do not understand how you can create an app with so little functionality in this day and age. Ability to create customized search parameters? Nonexistent. Ability to sort and filter search results? Nonexistent. What makes it all the more remarkable is that there are very good apps out there which Air Canada could simply have copied. While I don’t like United as an airline, their app is very good. Similarly, the Lufthansa app is also very good. Perhaps just copy one of these and change the colours as a simple fix…

Horrible customer service (0 stars)

First time I book something with Canada air due to covid stuff and Routes being available ! They cancelled one leg of the flight without offering an alternative and they refused to refund me ! This is unreal ! Never air Canada again even if I had to walk !

Worst airline
swifty93

Company stole hundreds of dollars from me by not giving me credit for a flight they cancelled due to COVID-19.

Lotsa errors, no boarding pass
VPNGuy

Unable to select seat, unable to get boarding pass - simply bad

Doesn’t help me whatsoever!
BarbChad

I bought my tickets from a 3rd party. We chose our seats through the airline’s regular website no problem. Then I downloaded this app so we can easily check-in, get our boarding passes and stay abreast of our flight status. It won’t take our Air Canada reference#. Why? The website did, again no problem. Every time I try your app comes back with a flag that some kind of problem occurred but that you’d be notified right away!

Not possible to make a worse app
SE100k travel for work

Believe it or not the previous version of this app looks and works amazing compared to this piece of crap version. As an SE100k I can say that the UI design is horrible and just plain never works!! So frustrating that in 2019 and now 2020 they can’t seem to get the app right with so many other great examples available from other airlines.

Just start over
Greg1991

I don’t even know where to begin with this app. I don’t put reviews often but this is a train wreck. Doesn’t load, has bugs all the time, can’t check in, can’t view boarding passes. What’s the point of even having an app if you can’t get a single feature right?
