It had so much potential

Lots of things to say about this, but mainly it is so very limited. No matter what you do the game wants you to be the mistress of the king if you're playing as a straight woman and pushes you into that corner. Also the word count is a bit of a lie in its own way. The game boasts this 200k+ word count but that basically applies to every possible plot divergent and possibly all the sequels within that you have to pay for. Pro tip to the developers, it's not necessarily a lie but it is very misleading. For something like this you should use the shortest possible play through and use that word count as your bench mark for how long the story is. But I know if you advertised that word count the game would sound pretty disappointing, wouldn't it? Food for thought. Also it seems pretty obvious that I am not allowed to be with anyone but the king since the story ends very abruptly once I marry anyone else and chose not to go and fool around with the king. The only time the game asks you to save your progress for the sequels is when you're the king's side chick so it's pretty obvious that not only will I be punished with a lack luster story for picking anyone else but that they're purely there to give the illusion of more choice. Also man I got all of two? Three? Interactions with each of the guys before it demanded I decide to marry them, and those interactions were painfully short. It's also just not super fantastically written, honestly. The plot is weak and does a bad job letting you understand what sort of choices you are making (especially the court choices) and shoves a huge info dump on you from the start. It's a great concept, I love the idea of what it is honestly but it's so bleh that I would never bother buying the sequels. Also the ads are broken and freeze the game.

Good Game But..

I like this game a lot. The story line is good and I like how many options are available to you. I do wish we had better options as far as the ‘lovers’. I felt like no matter which one I chose there would be a downfall which is good. That makes it harder to choose. The richer man wasn’t very attractive (in my imagination) but he was kind and he cared about the girl. The man without much money seemed adventurous and I wanted to choose him but I felt pressured to do what was best for the family. I thought that the king would give me lots of money and help support my family. I also found him the most desirable. In the end I chose the king. This was a great story so far. I have just finished the first part. Now I want to see what happens if I choose the rich man.

This game is complicated and offers lots of potential story lines but 'crashes' every once in a while and reverts back to baseline stats! And since stats have a lot to do with the story lines, this seriously screws up my game! Hopefully this problem gets fixed. Also, BEWARE THE HIDDEN COSTS! there's an upfront cost, but then there's other payments for the next sections as well as for in game perks and to remove adds

I ADORE THIS GAME!

Sarah lil monster!

I really enjoy choose your own adventure type games, and the fact that this allows you to play as a woman who wishes to court other women is just amazing! It is extremely rare to see any gay options in any games, let alone choose your own adventure games.

really fun game.

Politics & Passion

A great story - highly recommended. The romance options in part one railroad you somewhat, but the rails carry you into the true heart of the story in parts two and three. Stick with it! There was a twist in part three that I never could have seen coming, and an unlooked-for romance that had me replaying over and over until I got my happily ever after.
