What about having a section for rhyming words?

artbyDrina

The app has the traditional features; but it seems to me that rhyming words is an important service for many reasons which I will not elucidate here. Maybe I should just look elsewhere???

No good at all.

Where are the Synonym/Antonym options? Missing. I already have dictionaries. What I wanted was the Thesaurus as per the app title, which is not anywhere to be found in this iPad app. A total waste of time.

apple itunes bug

Due to a known apple itunes bug, I am unable to consistently download to install your app update. I have been waiting 6 weeks for a fix from Apple. Thought you should be aware of Apple hindering your hard work. ==== Developer, Subscription model: I don’t like over paying for an app over and over again. I don’t want to spend 50.00 a month (for 20 apps) to use needed apps. My budget will not allow it. Basically I will be "buying" an app for big bucks over time instead of a reasonable fee one time fee which I could save up or stagger buying over time. Many app store users are on limited income/SSI/SNAP. Allow me to prepay a year or still offer a one time cost for several years at a reasonable price. If you lock out my already paid for App; I will fight you. I will not be abused.

Big fan, but ...

As another reviewer points out, when the changes include pushing nuisance ads on the screen, there is a chilling effect on the user. I am still on the older version. I love the simplicity of this app. And no thank you, I won't be upgrading it. I would have given 5 stars if it wasn't for the ads. Otherwise, this is an immensely useful app.

Totally Useless App

Philologist

By now I own about 20 Electronic dictionaries, including the OED, and Merriam-Webster Third Intl. this one is most decidedly in the bottom of the heap. It offers nothing useful, and most of the links and synonyms etc. are truly from the left field. There are good dictionary-thesaurus combinations, such as MW, Oxford American Dıctıonary and they are better than adequate for college work.

5 Star App, 1 Star Devs

I've used this dictionary for the past 2 years, but I uninstalled it after the last update. As a matter of principle, when Developers deceive users in updates by not disclosing the addition of Advertising/iAds in the Changelog, I uninstall the app. When Developers are up front and put this in the Changelog, I KEEP the app.

I use to love this dictionary. Then I upgraded and now I get advertising. I will be looking for another dictionary.
