Best of the Best

After years of agonizing over shoddy VPN apps seemingly run by hucksters, AdGuard Pro got it right — a clean, fresh breeze sweeping the Internet free from clutter and distractions.

AdGuard Pro Changes

I really like the look and feel, plus simplified interface of the newest version, but I’ve noticed ads on some apps are slipping through unless I remember to check for filter updates, even though I’m using full tunnel VPN and AdGuard DNS settings on my iPhone and iPad. The same settings on macOS Catalina do not have this issue.

Waste of money

Complete waste of money. As of around a year ago the app doesn’t work properly. Constant VPN disconnects and ads aren’t blocked at all in safari with everything enabled. The regular AdGuard app works fine. They don’t want users to use this app, they they want them to use the regular adguard app. Why they even have this app up is a mystery. Probably just shady business practices in play as usual.

Older version was better

I have to manually add sites that I want to block! This is way more cumbersome! You used to be able to select DNS requests and block them from that screen! Now you have to remember it and type it out for potentially hundreds of ad websites with bizarre names! This is the worst update ever! What the heck! edit: okay it seems to be working again. thanks for conserving my sanity ?

What happened?

Everything looks pretty but actually selecting specific blocking features got harder to use

Works well

DNS filter is great; one of my most used apps.

It’s fixed!

Finally it works on and off WiFi! Loving the new interface as well! Great job!

Faster

I just installed both AdGuard Pro and Privacy Pro. First of all, my phone is operating much faster. Loading websites that kind of thing I’m really having to double check myself but I would swear that everything is loading at a much faster clip. Also ads are definitely being blocked. I went to a couple of sites such as PCMag.com and a few other things. Using the Google app, it loads a webpage and there are ads on it. However if I go to that exact same webpage on safari, there are no ads. It’s much less cluttered, and more relaxing to read. I love it. I don’t fully understand all the differences; obviously Adguard is blocking ads ...I think these apps do slightly different things but, whatever, I’m loving all the results. One thing I did do is go into each app and mess around with the settings to try to maximize and turn on as many settings as I could. I also had to specifically go into Safari to turn on gosh I think it was Adblock in the iPhone settings. Thumbs up, it’s five stars for me.

The best adblocker I know

I must recommend Adguard that I am using on all my devices (MBP, iPhone and iPad). You can customized it the way you want, make you own rules, filters or even importing them the internet. Top notch ????
