Doesn't work

Kaity86

Downloaded this app since the reviews were great and a lot said they blocked ads in Facebook and YouTube. Followed the instructions to set it up and it does nothing. If anything I have more ads in YouTube than I did before. Waste of money.

rashedq8

You want a review that badly on a paid app? This is what you get.

This app doesn’t do ANYTHING!

BEWARE. Don’t be fooled by the good rating this app has, it doesn’t block ads. You have been warned!

Well I wasted $2

I don’t get the point of this app. It doesn’t block pop up ads, and safari ads. Only youtube app? I’d rather keep youtubeRED than have this running in the background all the time

It works until it doesn’t

The cycle goes something like this: 1. I install the app. 2. I go through the tutorial 3. It does it’s “Setting up iCloud sync”. I cannot leave the app until it’s done, otherwise it won’t finish 4. After what takes forever I import a hosts file like Steven Blacks host file 5. I wait till it finishes import (which takes about an hour) 6. I turn on adblock 7. It throws an error, something like the VPN profile cannot be read or written to 8. I try again and it works. 9. Day 2 I see ads again 10. Open the app, “Setting up iCloud sync” again......

This literally blocks nothing

This app is literally useless. I thought it would be worth the small investment to buy this one time, but after having had it for 1 month I am extremely disappointed. Ads still popping up on articles, when opening new pages, in the middle of content, and on every YouTube video in the app and on safari. What an utter waste. I suspect they paid for a bunch of fake reviews that's how they seemed so credible. Don't be fooled like me.

Great

You can block anything in any app which in the end works better than any other AdBlocker.

YouTube

Doesn’t seem to work on YouTube

Unfortunately degrading

It was the best blocking app. After they were obliged by Apple to switch from local VPN to DNS, the app became a battery hog (42% in 10 min). It also keeps on shutting down even when the background app refresh is enabled so you would need to open the app, switch off the DNS, close the app then open it up again to turn on the DNS to make it work again. After four months I switched to another blocking app. Which by the way block ads inside apps also...
