When this app first started out, it was just like their web site. Now it’s plastered full of ads. Open the app, you get ads. Then you get ads after about every two to three taps. So many ads, the app is barely usable.

As a Pro member, I really get tired of having my profile edited by moderators. Every moderator has a different opinion on what is OK and what isn’t. It’s very childish. Furthermore, as a paying Pro member, I don’t like getting notifications from the app about hot guys checking out my profile or free trials of VIP membership. I have been a Pro user for years and as a long time contributing member I don’t feel that A4A truly appreciates me.
Problems with harassment, illegal activity

For years A4A’s user base has been dwindling. It used to ebb and flow with competing platforms, but my area, it is nearly deserted. What seems to remain is a pitifully toxic and unmanaged handful. I regularly receive unsolicited harassing messages from users that have been a problem in my area for a decade. This should be simple stuff. I don’t experience it on any other platform. If you’re cool with being harassed and are looking for some creepers into hard drugs and other dubious scenes, apparently this is the app for you.
