I purchased the DashCam downloaded this app that’s supposed to work with the camera but it does nothing when I activate the WiFi on the camera it is shown as AIT-Streaming-Demo-AP But the app instructs me to search and connect to DashCam_AD520 when I click the connect icon. The AIT-Streaming-Demo-AP is what the camera is broadcasting as, the password is correct and I does connect to that WiFi but the app does nothing video isn’t viewable photos aren’t viewable. So I removed the SD card put it in my computer and the quality of the video even at the highest settings was bad low quality cheap looking. I will be returning this camera and getting a refund since there is no support in English

I’m still trying to figure everything out. I put the micro card in after a week of not seeing anything and even though I hadn’t figured out how to set it exactly it has been recording all along! Today 5/7/2018 I downloaded the app and after playing with the WiFi (followed directions) and tried to download files to my phone. It worked but took forever so I still have a lot to learn but really happy with the DashCam.

Its not that bad, its just a 1080p, and it also has wifi, for what it costs, its not bad, it works fine so far, but I gave it only two stars due to the outdated software and difficulty in updating to another version that is still pretty old, even this app hasnt had any updates in a while, and Im just keeping my fingers crossed that the updated ios system in my iphone8 doesnt kick it down one day, bc newer phone and older phone system security updates are bad to block outdated software for ur own safety,( to the company- get with the program guys, I buy alot of things from this brand bc its affordable, dont go start having unreliable support for ur products, lest u go the way of the dodo), as long as it holds out like it is, I think its worth what was paid

This is my 3rd dash cam and surprisingly my favorite. It was unexpected when it out preformed my expensive one. Battery is good and it works perfect. I read a review where the guy gave it two stars cause it was hard to update. Who cares. Update it once and then forget about it unless you have trouble.

I’ve had a lot of random freezing issues with it but the other day takes the cake. A guy almost hit me then decided to follow me and block me with his vehicle and come up to my window yelling and such... luckily I was able to go around him on the shoulder. This is one of those situations where a DashCam would more than pay for itself if this person had damaged my vehicle or broken my window and attacked me or something. But it wasn’t recording. Little blue light was going and video count increasing but it only recorded in the morning not the afternoon when this happened. Time of ownership: 9 months Pros: Cheap Cons: Didn’t record when it may have been needed. Final take: I have gone with a more expensive and better reviewed product. Hopefully it will do what it was designed for, or at least have the courtesy to not say it’s recording when it’s not.
