ACT Photo

ACTPhoto lets users capture and upload a photo of their face to submit to ACT. Beginning in October 2012, students registered to take the ACT are required to submit a photo of their face in order to take the test. Students will upload a photo of their face using their phone's camera or using an existing photo on their phone. On upload, ACTPhoto will verify whether the submitted photo is in fact a face and notify the user accordingly. Before final submittal, students must accept the "Photo Agreement" in order to submit their photo to ACT

This app is so frustrating you can’t upload pictures from your camera roll you can only take pictures on the spot which is very inconvenient. They should probably try to change that part of the app to able people to upload from their camera roll but until they do that I suggest not use the app. It just makes life harder.???

Does not allow you to upload an existing photo from your photo library. Only allows you to take a new photo. App has zero other functionality. What a ridiculous process to submit a photo.

Other people seem to be having a problem with this app but it worked great for me. I logged in, took the photo, and uploaded it without any hassle.

I can’t believe ACT makes you download an app to upload a photo, it makes me question them professionally and technically. On my computer it took 30 minutes to be able to upload something. So dumb. SAT was way easier to upload a picture

Awful. I’m not sure what’s worse, the website or the ap. If you don’t submit the picture immediately you’ve just started a nightmare. Even if you follow ACT down their labyrinth, doing all they want you to: download the Ap, sign in for the 100th time, make sure your photo meets more requirements than getting top federal clearance, it still doesn’t work. Maybe they’re encouraging you to come to their offices and submit a paper copy like when the dinosaurs roamed? Come on ACT this should not be part of the difficulty of the test. Go hire someone from the SAT.... they got it right.

Look, I don’t really care about the app itself or how it functions. It’s the fact it exists. A whole app for submitting my photo? I mean it’s alright I suppose, I just don’t understand why there isn’t an easier way of doing this, like through your website... I would get rid of this. Which is what I’m going to do as soon as I’m done.

Worse app I have used! Tried 10 times, kept on getting an error, or a “try later”. Also, you can’t upload photo from photo library. Whoever made this app should get out of the business!
