This company should be way head of where they are. This “app” is hard to see and navigate in a mobile setting.
This is by far the worst app I have ever encountered. You can not login and if you can you’re very lucky. The keyboard doesn’t pop up to login. It’s incredibly small. I can’t imagine people operating this on a non plus phone. It’s the same access from a desktop or laptop. There is no difference which is terrible because the laptop version is marginally better. I’m really not sure why schools pay for this. We’d be better off using GoogleClassroom and doing everything the old fashion way.
I have an iPhone 7 S and it took me all of 10 seconds to get into the app and get into my church’s records so I think some of the poor reviews might be user issues. it’s small and inconvenient to work on anything other than a computer and my iPhone screen is small but I would only use this if I absolutely couldn’t get to my computer for some reason.
I cannot login with my iPhone because the keyboard is unable to load in the app.
Just noticed that this released today. I've been chomping at the bit to get my hands on it and take it for a spin. Very excited to have this flexibility. Looking forward to how I can apply this in our ministry.
I was really excited to use this app but without support for the built in keyboard on the iPad it still remains unusable. You get past the connect page and cannot log into the actual system. For anyone using an iPad, it isn't enough to just port in a "virtual pc" version of the app the way it does on a Mac. I have not tried using it with a Bluetooth keyboard but expect it will work. However, the point of the iPad is to not have to use a Bluetooth keyboard.
Not able to log in to second screen. iPad keyboard would not engage and my bluetooth keyboard did not work either
After reading the other reviews and trying the app for myself, I also assumed that the iPad keyboard was not supported by this app, for the second login. However, I contacted ACS Support (which is excellent by the way) and they told me how to do it. It may not be the most "user friendly" but it is functional. The first way (which is what ACS support told me) is to press on the screen with 3 fingers. It did work sometimes, but it was very sparatic and didn't always recognize the command. The second way (and better one if you ask me) is to press with one finger and hold until a little toolbar, up at the top of the screen, pops up. There is a pin symbol to keep the toolbar from hiding if you want to. To access the keyboard, click on the "A" symbol and the keyboard pops right up. There is also an automatic zoom on/off feature there as well. If you are an ACS On Demand customer, use the support from ACS that you are paying for!
I had high hopes for the application. I'd love to have the same on-demand functionality on the iPad that we have on the desktop. Unfortunately, this version seems to be unstable and login credentials are unrecognized. Does the mobile server really have access to our on-demand environment? Have yet to call support which may resolve, but this definitely didn't meet expectations for ease of use (or use at all!).
The app crashes every time I try to log in. I spent an hour on the phone with ACS support only to be told that the problem is with my iPad. The problem isn't the iPad. The app needs more work done to make it stable. This app has a lot of potential, and I hope to be able to use it soon. So ACS staff please hear my criticism and work to make the app better cause it can be a great tool.
