Used to be great

Brian31714

This used to be the go-to app for weather, the data was the best around and no issues with the app. Over the past several months this app has constantly crashed on my iphone. I’ve had to go back to Yahoo weather. Why can’t you test this app across multiple platforms / ios to ensure quality? So frustrated.

The Apple Watch app is awful

This review is specifically for the Apple Watch part of the app: Does not keep up to date. Takes way to long to load correct data, if it loads correct data at all. If used as a complication, it never actually shows the real weather, only the weather of the last time you opened the app. Right now as I write this, it is 12:30am and it is telling me my weather is “partly sunny”

App is ok, minute-by-minute is rarely correct

AccuWeather swears it's ground-level, minute-by-minute predictions are the most accurate of any system, but in my area, it's rarely accurate. For weeks, it tells me it's snowing every morning. Hasn't snowed once.

Great app

I had seen accuweather in past iterations and liked it. But I was using a dumb phone the past five years. I recently got a iPhone 7Plus which has a native weather app. It isn’t great. It has it strengths but overall disappointing. This app, however, has everything I want to know about the weather, is easy to navigate and customize as well looking clean. I just downloaded and looked through this app so this review is right out of the box. Two thumbs up!

Super duper lame.

Notifications for severe weather alerts 3 x a week, never can access any info to back it up. Just annoying misleading false notifications. Get it together!

Most inaccurate weather app!

It’s 16 degrees, your forecast currently says 42. Horrible acc uracy!

So so app

I was a regular user of Storm, but they deleted the ad-free option so I tried AccuWeather. It’s definitely different, I’m still getting used to it but I’m not liking it as much as Storm (ad free). The layout is different which is, well just different. You can get used to that. What I don’t really like is the map view. The radar is a little odd, but serves the purpose. There is no option that I’ve found for displaying wind speed and direction, a feature I really liked on Storm. The cloud cover is truly odd, lighter cloud cover has darker opacity and heavier cloud cover is lighter opacity, huh? That’s the opposite of what it should be. I’ve got the Premium version and it offers a 25 day forecast, well isn’t that special. The weather forecasters have trouble with tomorrows weather and they think they can forecast 25 days out? For entertainment purposes only ... Update: Still prefer the way Storm is laid out, the accuracy of the weather on this app is certainly no better than other apps, in other words, not very good. One annoying thing I have noticed is Notifications, I get FAR more severe weather notifications than I got on Storm. Most of them are repeats, if a winter weather advisory is posted at 9:00 AM I get a notification right away, if I turn the screen off I will find another notification the next time I open it, for the same original advisory. Once is enough, thank you!

This is by far the easiest to use, is visually appealing but also provides plenty of useful information. In the past I’ve used the following iPhone apps: Weather Channel, Weather Underground, Weather Bug and NOAA. In my opinion the Accuweather app is better than any of the above.

Advertising

Why do I have to pay to stop advertising, this should be weather and weather videos only, like the weather channel!!

It’s great fabulous even and, I am pleased to pay a premium ...

For it but; I am wary of sharing M2M data for good reasons. I have one request that there be more inclusions for Caribbean and European Travel locations for instance BARBADOS OR SVERDLOVSK. NOT EVERYONE CAN STAY HOME AND I AM ONE WHO WANTS TO KNOW HOW TO DRESS ON ARRIVING NOT ONLY DEPARTING — I cannot pack appropriately and on the fly sort for destination w/o adequacy. But, wow what a great app! And, I don’t feel “someone” is looking over my shoulder clocking me.
