FunRhyming is a Universal App, so it works with both iPhone and iPad.
This game provides many hours of enjoyment. Children are challenged to win "jewels" for successful completion of each level. After collecting enough jewels, they are rewarded
with a bonus mini-game, allowing them to trace or color a picture, create sparkles on the screen, and pop bubbles. Your child will be so involved in achieving each goal, that they
won't realize how much they are learning.
By matching rhyming words, this game helps children recognize common word patterns, and understand how the initial consonant, middle vowel, and ending consonant affect pronunciation. They will learn to distinguish between long and short vowel sounds, and they will learn to pronounce consonant combination, such as "ch" and "sh". These are all important stepping stones to becoming a proficient reader.
This game is is like like having a private tutor to teach your child one on one.
We also have a free version FunRhymeLite for you to try before you buy.

This app claims to have 3 levels: easy, med, hard- but all three levels are relatively the same difficulty. While this app does contain rhyming words- it is not at all what I expected. I will definitely be deleting it. Such a waste of $$!!!
The whole point of rhyming is to HEAR the same "rime" ( the ending of the word). There's no pictures, just words which would be OK ( not ideal), but they don't even let you click to hear what the words are! If you have a child who can read or even match letters, they will be able match correctly and it won't be the skill of rhyming at all. If you have a non reader ( the population who needs to work on reading, there is no way for them to hear first what they should rhyme without first making a mistake. Worthless app. The creators obviously have no understanding of education or child development.
My Kindergardener's teacher said he needed to improve his rhyming skills, so this app was God sent. It's very easy to use and it has helped him so much! Thank you!!!
My daugher struggles with "rhyming' so this is a great apps she enjoys playing!!
Excellent app for rhyming practice and recognizing word families. Interactive and engaging for all emergent readers, or a great lap activity with pre-emergent readers.
