My grand kids love the interaction and surprises with every letter! Great for kids learning to write upper and lower case!
The narrators voice is kind of nasally to me, though I am sure my kids would not mind it. :) but the app is just okay. I dislike that to go to the next letter you have to go back to the start menu, there should be an option to move forward or back to the next letter. The animations are cute, and the letter tracing is easy to understand, but there are cuter letter writing apps, like letter school.
This is a fun learning tool for kids, the animations are great- would love to see the balloons pop though. You can do both lowercase and uppercase letters, which is super, but I would love to see a couple different settings for ability level- sometimes the stroke will catch as it goes around a curve if not aligning it just so. Also once a child has learned the strokes, I want an option to trace without picking up the stylus/finger, for example, the 'a' requires two strokes, but often we just create the o shape, then loop back up, then draw downward to make the tail, instead, without lifting the pencil. I am not an occupational therapist by any means, so perhaps my way is not "proper", but I do know it is popular.
Have to buy the rest of the alphabet
I bought the full version of this app and it was played with a few times - and then it locked again!! It suggests I pay to unlock the rest. Can this be corrected?
