Best solution to an inherently complex iPhone maintenance function.

No better solution exists for and inherently difficult but necessary maintenance responsibility of all iPhone users. Yes, iCloud does back up contacts via Wi-Fi to the cloud, and does fair job at backing up your contacts, assuming they’re not corrupted. To stop them from becoming corrupted Proactively, illuminate all kinds of larger problems which a good maintenance plan removed from the equation. Yet the wisest plan is to assume a proactive approach. It’s easy to forget, that one of our most valuable franchise assets or Goodwill assets which the iPhone maintains on our behalf, is our contact list, yet for reasons unknown, Apple never provided a simple interface for management or maintenance of contacts, as they have for so many other important functions which the iPhone handles. This apps has quickly become the defining standard or benchmark of excellence by which other contact management apps are judged. In addition, the authors other apps handle often needed tasks such as a streamlined method of sending group messages to small & large group as well as group SMS text broadcasts To similar size groups.(I’ll cover this other app in a separate review-but I’m referring to “A2Z Contacts” which is the authors app for Broadcast mailing needs and numerous, closely related functions). With regard to this app, one thing the apps author realized early on, was that success was improbable without a parallel instructional or tutorial pop up message theme to keep one from going astray, hence the app predictably provides pop up tutorial messages so that one continues to make progress. For some users, it may seem daunting at first, and others might find the tutorial pop up messages as redundant, but I’m fairly sure this was without question the best way to proceed and it’s clear that the apps author put a lot of time into a well thought out Interface for both knowledgeable iPhone users as well as casual users. New contact apps come out fairly often, and infrequently I’ve deviated and tried many, yet I’ve always come back to this authors group of the apps and this, as they say, is the proof in the pudding, (Note: quite honestly I’ve never really understood this cliché, nor am I sure how one can find proof in any form of pudding - LOL).

I was using A2Z for about a year. In the beginning it was great. But with each iOS update it became much slower. It performed with a “hangover.” I reached out to the developer and they resolved the issue (a few days later) with their own update. Back in business. However, when Apple sent out an iOS 11 update that’s when A2Z took a ?on me!!! Every group I had created was either emptied or severely compromised making them virtually useless. After contacting A2Z again all they said was... yup sorry we know, it won’t happen again. You’re so right A2Z... I have DELETED the app. Bye-Bye!!

Just started using this app and I already did an in app purchase to ensure that it lives on. If you do group emails and/or texts, this will be an invaluable tool. I already have the google content sync app which works flawlessly. I just push my iOS contacts which are already synced with Windows outlook into my google contacts which I do use with some google apps. I have encouraged the developer to do an analogous Calendar Sync app. These apps are well thought out and intuitive. I highly recommend them.

Don’t rely on for group emails

I was counting on this app to help me send out emails to my google groups. Unfortunately it won’t do this well at all. My contacts synced well and my groups appear on the app. But after using it about 4 times I have found that the emails are not received by recipients for hours after the email was sent. Support has told me that it is likely something on my end, but I have no other issues with my ISP, Wi-Fi, or any other emails. As I write this I sent a group email an hour and a half ago ( of which I am on the recipient list) and still no email has come through. In keeping with what I have experienced, I’m sure that within the next hour or so the message will appear. Annoying when you want to send a group email to your kids sports team with some time sensitive info. Do not use this app for group emails. Very disappointing.

I am a team captain and This App is great to keep in contact all my players. I use this app for both texting and emailing my team. It very user friendly and I have not experienced a single flaw. It’s about time somebody got it right for an app that is simple to use and what it’s supposed to! Can’t wait to start using all the other neat functions of the app. GREAT JOB DEVELOPMENT TEAM! And thanks.

Was creating a group text. Took a lot of deliberation and correct wording. Went in and out as needed and came back to edit. Right before sending went out to get an image. Came back and the whole thing was gone!!!

Not what it’s advertised

Installation easy. Grouping contacts good. BUT! BUT! When trying to use it to email a group, then it went south. Does not work. Sent my entire list (417) to never-never land. Said it was backed up to the cloud-not so. Does not interface with Apple Mail or Outlook. Be wary. My advice is - DO NOT TRY! Cannot even give it One Star, that’s how bad it is.
