This app is designed to make scripture familiarization and memorization engaging, enjoyable, and easy.
Drawing from a limited set of instructive and inspirational verses, A Good Word generates simple word games that encourage the player to focus on a specific piece of scripture in a new way.
The first release of A Good Word includes:
- Word search puzzles, randomly generated and new every time you play
- "Hangman" games
- All game content comes directly from The Bible
- Verses get "filled in" as the player completes the puzzle
- Share the verses you're studying on Facebook, and challenge others to do the same
- Universal app, works on iPad and iPhone

This app is perfect for a quick infusion of God's Word in the slow moments and gaps of daily life.
For beginners, this app can serve as a simple introduction to several major Bible themes.

I am really enjoying playing this game. I’ve already worked all the hangman ones. The screen on Word Search is a little hard on my eyes. Also, would like to get new verses?

This is a fun app, with a good selection of verses. Would love to see an update that includes an option to enter your own verses.

I hope your plans include choices of versions. But even as it is with 2 games and 1 version of the Bible, it's still worthwhile and fun.
Great concept, a few suggestions

A really great concept. However, I have some suggestions. How about when you solve the hangman mode a menu pops up to tell you that you've completed/failed it. Also, instead of giving the verses straight up, why not make the verses random and unlockable, i.e. I choose the mode, Hangman/Crossword, and a random verse appears, once you solve it, then it appears in the neat categories that you already have (e.g. Comfort, encouragement, etc).

Please update so it SAVES the levels that are completed, and how many times they have been completed. Would provide some incentive to replay. Best times would be nice as well.

Thank you so much for making this. I do agree with other suggestions but it has great bones. The only thing i'd say is that i LoVE black, but having the crossword in black is really hard on the eyes. If you switched the colors it wouldnt bother your eyes so much. I couldnt do that many puzzles because it was hard to focus.
