I’ll always love 9GAG but more recently it’s felt more like the algorithm is favoring quantity over quality. Posts with <100 likes making it to hot is really making it harder to enjoy, gotta constantly check to make sure I haven’t accidentally swiped over to fresh. Also makes it too easy for people to get repost after repost to hot. I remember back when I could browse so much that I’d run out of hot posts and have to wait a day or switch to trending, that’s the 9GAG I fell in love with, and I doubt that if I were a new user today that I’d continue to be a user for very long.

Used to be a good app, until they put in all those annoying pop up ads that redirect u to the App Store or a commercial vid.

The ads keep opening by themselves and redirect me to the AppStore or some website. It’s getting very annoying. Update: ads are still opening by themselves sometimes and now there’s an ad banner forever at the bottom of the screen. Come on. New update: in addition, there are now video ads that pop up randomly. Cool I think it’s time I delete this app.
Video playback too laggy

I used this app constantly and it was awesome until iOS 13.2 then all video playback kept freezing and crashing every few seconds. Thought my phone was old but the problem persisted even when I upgraded it to a different one of the latest generation. Would not recommend until the issue is addressed. Almost half of the content posted is in video format and it not working really ruins user experience.

Recent update shows bug fixes as it’s only major change. Video playback is still broken. Can’t puse and scroll without the video playing by itself, and random noise from a random video plays in the background frequently. If you want me to upgrade to pro+ get this fixed

The app was fine however, after an update or a change of how ads work the app will constantly open the App Store to a random, completely taking you out of the app. Very frustrating.

Instead of fixing bugs! You should fix the app so iPhone users can download pics and gifs into phone gallery as before!!!! Also iPhone users cannot see Dark Humor and NSFW posts!!! Uninstall !!
