They lie
Oldboy0101

I downloaded this app about 4 years ago. At that time it was a free app. Enjoyed using it to try new drinks, always good recipes. About 1 year ago there suddenly were some drinks that were locked and you had to watch an ad or pay to see the recipe. This week you have to subscribe to see anything on this app. Same recipes but no longer available to users under the previous terms. Drinks Free is not free!! What a lie.

Not Happy
&$&!

I used to like this app. However, Friday I opened it and there was an advertisement for an upgrade. The X to get out of it was so close to the same color as the background it was really hard to see so I didn’t see it. I thought by tapping on continue it would get me out of it. Instead it signed me up for a year subscription and took 49.95 out of my account that I couldn’t afford to come out or will ever use the upgrade for anything. Very very unhappy!!

Deleted This SCAM !!!.

Had this app for ten years and now I deleted it. What a shame as I could of lived with the commercials. but now you greedy crooks get Nothing !.

100% fracked after 8.11.19 update

My #2 favorite free mixology app just got torpedoed by the developer. Won’t even open without being forced to surrender control to oppressive ads at startup. No thanks.

Keep your finger off the fingerprint reader...

This has always been a nice simple app, with a handful of key recipes, which is why I used it on a semi regular basis. No muss-No fuss. However, they have added new content, a few (??) new recipes, and many other optional features. Of course you don’t need to access any of this extra stuff to “use the app“, and you still get a fair amount of free recipes, but quite a number of recipes are now locked and require you to watch some advertising or do something else to gain access to them. A handful of my favorite recipes are now locked. And DEFINITELY watch out when you login the first time. The advertising to try to get you to spend $$ on a subscription is so hard to close, my iPhone tried to charge me twice because I didn’t hit the X “just right“. If my thumb had been on the fingerprint reader, I would have been stuck with a big old charge. I support the developers right to do anything they want with their app, but I’m not impressed with the amazing amount of new advertising, which in itself always makes me suspicious of ad tracking, etc. I think it’s time to delete this and move on.

Vicious ads
dijitul

I was nearly raped by the ads. Not only are they forced on you but any attempt to close them results in the app trying to make you pay for a purchase. This is crappy design and has now forced me to enable ad blocking.

Another great app destroyed by greed.

Another great app destroyed by greed. I could live with the ads, that was not a problem at all. Now you want $49 annually and adding a bundle that is of no use at all? What were you smoking? You should have stuck to drinking!

No free
Dricetea

This was always a free app and it was great. They now charge for the app via a subscription. I deleted the app.

No longer free
Thecgreg

Drinks"free" now has a monthly our annual charge to use the app. Need to create a new paid app or rename the current one. I give 2 stars because it used to be free and was fairly useful.

Bye bye, not buy buy.

No longer free. As the cybermen say, "Delete".
