Works but doesn't work

This review is the same as my 4096 review because the same company makes both and the only difference is the end limit. The app itself is a nice spin on the popular 2048 game, but it resets itself mid-game if you don't keep continuously playing it. I had reached the 2048 tile & the puzzle reset to two 2 tiles. Also, it won't let you play past the 8192 tile so that takes away from much of the gameplay for advanced users.

This is a fun game, but closing it completely means that it resets to a new game. That really makes no sense. In comparison, a solitaire game will retain its place even if you close it completely. When you start it again, you're right where you left off. This game should do the same. Also, it would be nice if it had an Undo feature. Sometimes I'll swipe left or right and it will be misinterpreted as an up or down swipe. An Undo feature would be real nice in that situation. And it also seems like this could really be one game and you could just set what you want the upper limit to be 2048, 4096, or 8192.

PROS: Fast response. Quickly achieve high scores. Nice gratification sound effects. Graphics are easy on the eyes. (***high score to date: 77,920) CONS: MUST play each game on a single session, e.g. if you turn your device off and/or leave the app it doesn't resume play from last move. Hangs for a second after a longer game, i.e. After 35,000 points or so, which can impact your moves and score. Has crashed on me (only once or twice) and doesn't capture the existing score when it crashes. (***still the BEST version of 8192 I've played so far.)

It is frustrating that it starts over every time you close the app. It needs a pause ability. Otherwise it would get 5 stars.

I used to love this game, but since the most recent update I can only play for a few minutes before it freezes and the app closes. I'm done, might as well delete this.

Stay away from the update! You will not be able to play the game after updating. It ruins the game. It won't stay open. Closes every time.

This game will prove too easy for any one who had played 8192 online. The playing board offers too many spaces. I played one game and won.
