First impressions...pretty good so far!

ScrambledEggs

Technical stuff: - It takes about 5 seconds to startup on my iPod Touch 4g, so it isn't bad in that respect. -does not have fast app switching support-- reloads each time you go out of the app, regardless of multitask. -it does, however, automatically save on a regular basis. -It's not quite retina display optimized, but the graphics are clean enough so that you hardly notice it (see screenshots). -The D-pad is a tad on the small size. It's okay for me (i have a small frame/i'm pretty skiny), but it might be harder for others. There is no option to change placement/size of the dpad. -There is a slight pause on your character anytime you press "A". May or may not affect gameplay. Gameplay: -Looks like a your typical JRPG style game. -The premise is also typical JRPG-- some king is retiring, so he calls seven heroes to his castle to help find four orbs of power. -There are seven different heroes, each with a different background and personality. You start with one which you choose. -Along your journey, you encounter the other heroes and they each have different things to say to you based on who you are, which is kind of neat. According to in-game dialogue, some of them may join you eventually. -Some pretty good music. Definitely above average. It may even be memorable with time. -There are hidden items -It has a menu battle system like the Final Fantasy games. The menu is on the right-hand side of the screen. Unfortunately, there is no setting to change it to left. There is also no touch/slash control like in Ash, but battles move fast enough. -My character walks just a little too slow for my taste. You might get impatient with it haha. So far, based on the pretty good production values, I'd say it's worth picking up. The dialogue is solid. The one major flaw of this is that it's only 3-4 hours to beat :( You can play through again with other characters, but it's almost the same each time. Still worth a few bucks, though.

A grand game! Tons of replay value!

Leil

This is a throwback to Final Fantasy VI and just as fun. Tons of great story, action, and replays!

Short

emhew13

Cute but I wish it a longer story to it...... Not worth the money... Would made more sense if it was free .

AWESOME GAME!

Dragonfly59

Loved it! Wish it could have been a longer game though.

RPG Maker

neoshinra

It seems most people don't realize that this game is from an amateur dev team, and was produced with RPG Maker (VX most likely). While short i applaud the makers for being ambitious enough to have seven different characters available from the start. The developers likely spent next to no money to develop it and may not have even legally had a liscense for RPG maker as its rampantly pirated. The bottom line is that they made a half way decent rpg that they are charging only three dollars for.

Okay but short

Grizzlebear22

I enjoyed playing it...and then a day after I bought it I beat it on level 10. Not worth the money.

Not horrid

Eaeelill

The game is ok. The mechanics need balance (Cyrus the dragoons) stun has a 100% chance of happening even on the last boss and for me it only got 2 attacks off (1 because I forgot to use a mana potion). Simple but fun game, needs a lot of updating, mostly In content, I beat the game very fast 3 hours or so, if at that.

Suckish

Pppppppppppppooooooo

This app really stinks, Its just like pokemon.

WAAAY TOO EXPENSIVE!

Jesus lives!!!!

I was hoping for a game like the Zenonia games (which cost $0.99 & are MUCH better than this) but this isn't anything like it. The graphics aren't to great & there is no action when the player engages with the enemy. Just a real wast of $2.99!

Too Short and Too little

insipidhijinks

I was super excited about this game and then it ended! Seriously too short and not nearly enough development in the story or characters. I want so much more than 2 hours of play.
