"A Magnificent Ode To The Classics"

The oppressed peasants on Roven Island hire seven mages to protect their homes and crops.

The legendary Roven Island is said to be the place where the gods rested after they created the world. The earth, water and air there are still imbued with magic, which lures magic prospectors. These prospectors conduct savage raids at regular intervals on one of the unnamed villages on the island, robbing the hard-working peasants of most of their harvest. And so, one day, the peasants put together the last of their coin and hire the mages to protect them.

The epic RPG 7 Mages in the tradition of the greatest classics of the genre takes you around the magical island of Roven. You will visit gloomy crypts beneath the city, cross an icy mountain pass, submerge beneath the surface of the ocean and venture into the guts of a dead dragon. And lots more too! The game offers unique and very tactical turn-based combat with the option to split up your team, use combat magic, elemental magic and all-new musical magic.

* A fantasy game reworking of the legendary movies Seven Samurai and The Magnificent Seven
* 14 fantastic environments
* More than 30 types of enemy, most of them bringing new elements into combat
* Highly tactical turn-based combat with the option to split up your team
* 60 combat, elemental and musical spells
* Original puzzles on each new level

Best First Person RPG on the App Store
activelifejs

Great graphics, deep strategy, built in map making, note taking, 16 save game slots. This is a hidden gem. I hope the developers get more publicity so they can continue making more great games.

It's like legend of grimlock for your phone!

If you like grid based dungeon crawlers, you've come to the right place. Very old school, no hand holding. Free to start and pay to unlock the rest of the game if you're enjoying it.

Very cool, nostalgic and modern at the same time!

Great game! Well done. Has all of the great elements of a wonderful dungeon crawler that give a major shout out to the Wizardry series. Try for free then pay once and play the whole game: just the way it should be. Do yourself a favor and pick this up. I'm glad I did.

Love the tactical gameplay and purchase model

What an amazing game! Great tactical fighting and I love the thought put into the puzzles! I usually purchase premium games and sometimes get frustrated that I paid money for a terrible game. This title offered a lot of gameplay for free prior to purchase. I wish more games did this.

Great RPG

Really enjoying this game. Great RPG/dungeon crawler in the vein of the old Wizardry classics. Fair business model with a full game unlock iap. Great work!

Excellent Wizardry Type Dungeon Crawl
Macatron

I've only played down to level 2 so far, but I loved this game so much that I felt compelled to leave a review! I grew up in turn based grid RPGs like this (primarily the Wizardry series), so I've got a HUGE soft spot for this particular genre. 7 Mages is an excellent upgrade to the games of my youth, and I can't wait to delve further into it. I especially love how they implemented music into the game too. This aspect really harkened back to the Wizardy series and their bard class. Ok, well that's enough for now. I want to get back into the dungeon!

Awesome game!

Not free but worth the money - I would pay twice what they are asking for this game. It's that fun!

No balance at all
Koala404

After the crypt the difficulty curve is more like a cliff. Every monster can and will destroy your party. There is no care taken with progress, and very little utility in the save function to allow you to go back a little without having to constantly micro manage saving. The graphics are good, but the whole setup is just absurdly punishing and therefore totally disengaging. I would rate zero stars if I could.

Horrible
Jayden garrison

Can't play at all because it just crashes. Do not get.

Wow

I am thoroughly impressed with the look, gameplay, and magnitude of this game. It was free when I got it but even if it wasn't, I would have payed money for this. Just wow
