In less than 5 minutes, this app will help you capture the critical information about your bike and establish ownership, helping you maximize your claim with insurance and recovery efforts with police in the event of loss.

If your bike is stolen, simply press the Alert button in the app. Answer a few quick questions and we’ll let everyone in the nearby 529 community know along with the details to help others spot your bike. If they see it, they can snap a quick photo and let you know. It’s like a neighborhood watch network for your bike. We’ll get your social networks on board too. The 529 Garage also automatically creates posters that you can place around town, all from your iOS device and AirPrint enabled printer.

The ideas and features are great. But app is way behind for the latest phones. Does not layout correctly.

Awesome concept. Heard about the App from local officials.

Good, but why no photo zoom?
PDX brian

Good app, but when alert pops up there is not a way to zoom in on the pic of the stolen bike. Pretty important feature to be missing.

Quick and complete registry

Sponsored by SRAM and partnered with the National Bike Registry. Definitely sticker your bike and practice good lockup habits, but online records and a serial number will be as official as possible.

Not optimized for x

Need to support the layout in iPhone X and up.

This is an easy-to-use, intuitive app that I am really glad to have discovered. Thanks to the Portland Police Bureau for featuring the app at a recent briefing at my workplace.

The ultimate bike theft solution!

This platform is definitely a 21st century tool to addressing bike theft!! Such a great (free!) service that has facilitated numerous bike returns! Love how all of my bikes are captured in the same profile!! Thank you.

So far so good, I like you can add many photos, lots of bike info.

A helpful tool, but could use improvements
Element103

Overall, I think this is a great system and the app is very handy. It’s a relatively convenient way to register your bike(s), along with some photos. But there is room for improvement in the app experience: 1. When adding photos, I wish I could see a zoomed version of the selected image in my camera roll (as in Instagram) rather than only thumbnails. 2. Where does the receipt image go? You post and then nothing appears. Maybe this is a privacy issue, but some language explaining this would be helpful to the user. 3. Why only an image for the receipt? Most bike shops now send this digitally, so it would be nice if I had the option of saving the email receipt or order confirmation as a PDF and post it to the app. Or better yet, enter the order/confirmation number and retailer name. 4. You should be able to zoom on bicycle alerts. I received one yesterday, and would love to help recover the stolen bike. Unfortunately, I’m not able to see the identifying details very clearly. 5. Could you add a “recent notifications” tab to the menu? When you do receive an alert notification, you should be able to save it and go back. After receiving a text, I wasn’t able to go back and look at the details again. I can’t really help recover this bike without the details, and the “Hot sheet” takes forever to load. 6. One final note about adding images: When adding a photo, you can edit both the predefined photo name and the “description” field in image upload screen. It’s a little confusing, leading me to enter the shield badge twice for three bikes. I hope these nitpicks aren’t taken to mean this is a bad app. I think it’s a fantastic idea, but as a digital design professional, I think it could use another sprint.
