Doesn't open

Cyberey66

Fails to open on my iPhone 6. Crashes upon loading. Until this is fixed, I'm out $20 and will use the original DJI software.

So disappointing

JazzCritic

Update: 3D effect is present. Video quality is bad, disconnects constantly. Needed to rip of headset and get back to native app. I bought their other two apps and their tech was good. UI, really bad, but the ability to get 3D out of a single lens was impressive. This app, with my p3a is just junk. No 3D effect whatsoever and nothing close to the previews on YouTube. To boot, I can't record what I'm seeing in my headset unless I'm recording the whole screen (including ui elements). I'd like for the developer to explain exactly how they made the video on their site. I'm pretty sure it was a 3D camera and I just got sunk for $20.

High Hopes...rather disappointed

I have a Zeiss Cinemizer and wanted to try my VR headset to gain a larger field of view and also to add head tracking. The un-updated "updated" user guide is the same two paragraph nonsense from the beginning showing the promise of yaw head tracking. (Update-one picture added) I am sure if you fly the phantom 3 or inspire this might be more fun but I have the phantom 4. First of all the good things are that you can switch between iPhone camera and drone camera and even have them both up on the screen. Now you can watch people making fun of you while you wear your VR headset in public! Yeah!! Of course if you use head tracking and look down the iPhone camera is now focusing on your feet so keep that in mind. Side to side head tracking doesn't work on the phantom 4 so for $30 what is the real advantage? Can't I just roll my dial to lower my camera and avoid wearing a VR headset and also drastically raise your chances of getting and or retaining a girlfriend? (I refuse to leave my backyard) I guess $30 and a cheap VR headset is a cheap FPV setup but it still lacks any way to track your flights, give map overlays like Dji go, or add to your user totals and social network. Aside from that - if you can spring for the hdmi upgrade for the P4 - there are better and more comfortable ways to view FPV than a VR headset. All jokes aside it is a noble effort but until it can control P4 Yaw... I'll stick with the DJI app.

Hope it gets better

Update* got a better set of goggles and increased the image quality drastically. Get the Morjava VR Shinecon 3D VR GLASS Head Mount Virtual Reality 3d Video Glasses from amazon for $40.00 and you will enjoy your flying experience. No app crashes, it works very well. The only thing that need work is the 3d rendering is not good. Image quality is very poor compared to dji go app, it really doesn't give me a feeling of comfort and reliability, as a matter of fact i feel i could crash my phantom by the lag of quality on the video feed. I ordered a $20 vr goggles from amazon. I am hoping that higher quality ones i jut ordered to replace the cheap ones will make a difference. I will update my review if that is the case. In reference of the 3d function... Useless. My iPhone 6s plus gets extremely hot which concerns since i have it 3 inches from my face. If the developer could increase the video quality this would be a worthwhile purchase. I guess my expectations were a bit more optimistic than the reality. Good luck improving this great idea.

Lots of bugs. Unusable

Sandstone1985

I bought this specifically for the 360 head tracking. Whenever I turn this on I get an error message telling me to put the Drone in F or P mode, which it already is in, and it will not turn on. The map viewer also does not work. Very disappointing.

Dangerous Screen Freeze

Cubelodyte

I would give this at least three stars if it were not the most expensive app I've ever purchased. The price is far too high for an app that smacks of being just barely out of beta. It banks on the fact that there are currently no other app choices in this market. As for features, this app is reasonably well supplied. However, the menu is cumbersome to navigate and it doesn't remember your settings. This means that every time you change the battery in your aircraft, you have to you go through the whole process again to turn on or off all the features you use. Also, there is no way to modify Standard measurements. In other words, height is in meters and speed is in [who knows what?]. Most importantly, the video feed freezes frequently. I crashed my Phantom 3 in the first 10 minutes. The camera feed froze and I ended up backing into bushes trying to get home. Fortunately, the Phantom survived. Now, I just have to remember to shut down the app and restart it every time the video feed freezes; which, as it happens, is every three or four minutes. This freeze occurs whether the drone is 1000 feet away or 6 feet away. It has nothing to do with broadcast range. The app simply freezes and must be restarted.

Glitchy

Blitz Babula

For the money I paid I was hoping for better. The app fails and goes back to my phone home screen with my other apps wile flying, the head tracking isn't that wonderful, and the camera and the picture don't line up for a safe landing. There isn't much of a delay, it's a good picture, when it is working properly it's not that bad. Over all I don't really use it that much because of how glitchy it is. Hopefully the creators of the app fix the issues, I would want anyone crashing their drones of anyone getting hurt.

No Users Manual

rmatyasik

None. The user is left to literally figure the app out for themselves. This is not a comfortable feeling when flying an $800 drone. The few instructions that are provided on screen make plenty of references to the "C1" and "C2" buttons...which do not exist on my remote control! If these buttons are so important, Phantom 3 owners should be warned in the app description.

No Screen Share

WxKp

I might have given this a five star. The description says wireless screen share this is an in app purchase and it cost an extra five dollars really.

Keeps crashing or freezing

Mm981

Flying with P4. App either drops Out completely or video in goggles freezes up.. very latent ....I used BoBo goggles along with others. I like the telemetry and the 3D view would be good, but can't get stable picture. DJI and litchi app work perfect. I tried everything. Giving up on this app.
