Great app!

It actually works! The meal plans are easy and delicious. I noticed my energy levels went up and my weight went down! I definitely recommend this app for anyone who is trying to lose weight in a healthy way without depriving yourself of good food.

I love this app!

This app makes easy to import all the ingredients on one page that way you know what you have to get for your meals! And plus subscription service does all of meal planning for you. The most important thing is that the food from the app are actually tasty which makes my tummy happy but also help me to lose couple pounds.

Great

You get a hand picked meal plan each week. Really great idea. This app really motivates me to follow the diet.

Wonderful Balanced Meal Plan!

World Champion Taekwondo

We have been looking for a meal plan like this and share with our adult students to learn the benefits of eating healthy! All students' movements look so much lighter and every one of them are enjoying their life even more! Even though it might be difficult to adjust to it first, keep going and reach your goal!

Gross!

Seared tuna? Really? These recipes were disgusting and unrealistic. Trying to figure out how anyone gave this a good review.

Unhappy

The meals themselves seem great! And I like that I can generate a shopping list at a push of a button, but it only lets me have a recipe for one meal at a time! It gives me options for breakfast, snacks, lunch and dinner. But I can only see the dinner recipe unless I upgrade the app! I considered paying the 4.99 a month, but then I realized if be paying 5.00 a month and only 17 meal options. Total rip off

If you are looking to burn fat using anger and annoyance...

I paid the $4.99 thinking that having the recipes would be worth it. They are nice, some of them are good, and having the ability to generate a grocery list is an awesome idea in theory. But that it where it ends. Many of the recipes list the same ingredients but in different words, so they end up on the list 10 times with different spellings, different measurements, non-fat/low-fat/ no fat, etc. it's such a hassle that you end up having to write your own list out by hand anyway! With that, I was still willing to give this thing a try. The convenience of having the recipes all right there was worth it. The problem is that as you are cooking, my iPad will go dark to save power and every time I lit it back up, the app would reset to whatever meal I was supposed to be having that moment. I don't know about anyone else, but I cook meals for lunch the next day, not to mention that it was still giving me the lunch menu at 6pm when I would be trying to cook dinner for that night. You would think that just swiping to the next meal wouldn't be that annoying, but when you do it 20 times it starts to work your nerves. Just stay on what I was previously looking at for crying out loud! And the recipes themselves may be good, but multiple times I would read ingredients that were listed in the recipe that we're not on the ingredient list. There was no note that they were for another phase, nothing. Just random ingredients in the recipe, and then sometimes ingredients in the list, but never included in the recipe! I get that maybe they are substitutions, but the recipe needs to reflect that. Poorly executed. So today I went to cancel the auto subscription after having used the app for a week and progressively hating it more and more, and there is no way that I can find to do that. No options button within the app, no support on the web page, nothing in here except it talking about changing the option that is apparently more elusive than one would think, if it even exists. Don't buy this app. Buy the book and get recipes online. It will save you time and a headache.

Much better variety of foods

I have upgraded to the full menu with recipes, and am glad I did. It is possible to disable the automatic monthly renewal, so very little commitment is needed. I have used this diet on and off a few times with good results, but the recipes and foods suggested in the book edition got repetitive and boring. This app gives much more delicious variety. The grocery list is helpful, and helps eliminate wasteful shopping habits. The app also helps choose alternatives so the menu plan can be more flexible. Some things would improve the app, and would make the price more reasonable, though. 1. The grocery list should be made so that duplications can be deleted without having to clear everything. The duplications make the list long and cumbersome to follow in the store. 2. The photos of the foods do not match the recipes. Too bad, because when prepared according to the recipe, the foods are beautiful as well as delicious. 3. The recipes do not always have adequate instructions for prepping ingredients. Novice cooks may not know to assume if some things should be sliced, diced, chopped or julienned! All in all, a decent diet aid--I have eaten very well for a week, now. My family is happy with the food choices, and no one has complained about having to eat "diet" foods. Best of all, I have lost 5 pounds already!

Potential to be a GREAT app, but it’s not there yet

The Schimms

The reason I was willing to pay the $5 a month was for the convenience of having meal planning and a grocery list made for me. However, when I printed my grocery list, it was 13 pages long because it does not combine quantities of the same item and it doesn’t alphabetize them so they are spread out over the entire list. For example, several recipes called for carrots, so carrots were on the list 12 different times spread out over multiple pages. (Same thing with the meats, fruits, vegetables, dairy products, MOST of the items.) For a paid subscription, I shouldn’t have to print out a list and search item by item for over a dozen pages, looking for that item repeated, adding 1/4 cup of Greek yogurt to 2 TBSP of Greek yogurt plus 2 cups Greek yogurt plus 4 TBSP Greek yogurt, etc and then REPEAT for every single item on the list. Also, if you add a dish to the your grocery list and then change your mind, you cannot remove that one item. You have to clear the entire grocery list and start over, which with 4 recipes a day for 7 days, is inconvenient. This app could be great if these two items were fixed. Very disappointing for a PAID subscription every month.
