Not working properly in Notification Center

Every time I received alert in the Notification Center, the app just sets on "channel 13" splash screen. I would have to close app and go to the icon to open the story. Very aggravating. I'm contemplating deleting the app and using another " News" app for my area.

My usual weather app; I have others. I rely on the navigation app when I travel because it tells me if my route is clear, heavy traffic, or stopped by an accident.
Bug needs fixed & suggestions

The app is half way there. Right now it's only getting 3 stars. First problem is there is a bug with the app where when you click on a notification it goes to open the app but just freezes on the opening page and never fully opens the app. That's a big issue. I have a iPhone 6s with updated software if that helps. A suggestion is the ability to have a place where you can hit a heart or star and be able to save certain stories for easy retrieval when you log back on the app. If either changes the rating will go up. The notifications from this app are ahead of Channel 3 so that's a plus.

Just ran the update yesterday and the app is not working. It keeps telling me my network isn't working. But my network is fine. When I try again, the app remains on the opening page and that's it. Just letting you all know :)
Needs help with start up

Lots of cool new changes. Having trouble with start up, plz help. I have an iPhone and new version is not allowing app to open without wifi on even after adjusting settings in app. Will not open using cell data.
