Heartwarming and tear-worthy

I just watched the slideshow of about that last years worth of snippets. My youngest son was 3 months when I started this, he’s 16 months now. Seeing those and all the other pictures in a row brought some proud fatherly tears to my eyes. I will continue using this awesome application, and encourage any human with a smart device who takes photos to do the same.

Can’t fit photo to frame

Used to be able to take a normal photo and fill the entire landscape frame with it. Tried to upload one today and did not give me that option. Black bars are on the side of the photo and there is no way to get rid of them. Ruins a video that I have been building for almost a year. Very disappointed.

Music limitation

Switched to this app from Leap Second for a whole year because I thought it was better. Now I just realized you can only use one song on a loop to accompany your videos. Seems like an easy thing they could fix... it really takes away from the final product to just hear a repeated song.

I don’t like how they changed it so the mash won’t default from the start of the file to the current date anymore and it’s a pain to try and get it to the dates you want when they span from December 2019 into Jan 2020?

Vertical vs Horizontal

No idea why everyone is trying to push vertical videos on us. Instead trying to use logical horizontal videos and encourage users to flip their phones all developers are accommodating users with vertical capability. And now starting to encourage them as well. It should be optional for users to choose which one works best. And now the worst part of why I am giving only 3 stars. Black bars on all horizontal pictures. I tried cropping them to make them wider - no use. Those annoying black bars are still there. Simple question: Why? I guess this app only wants to serve as an inspiration for videos you create on your desktop computer. (No subscription required)

Please change the caption font back!!

I have been using this app since 2018 and always tell my friends about it. Like other reviewers, I am annoyed with the most recent update. There are many things that bother me, but one of the biggest is the caption font on videos. Originally, the font matched the date font (if I remember correctly) and now it is a non-italicized sans serif with an unnecessary amount of letter spacing. Because of the letter spacing, I can’t fit as much info in the caption. It’s also impossible to read on the video itself because there is no longer a shadow on the text. Quite frankly, it was an unnecessary change and has made the caption illegible. I have other qualms with this update that other reviewers have mentioned, but the caption font makes me cringe every time I see it. Please change it back or give users the option to change the font in settings.

Latest version isn’t good

As many have mentioned. This latest update isn’t great. My biggest issue is the is significantly slower than before. I’ve got an iPhone X and previewing a daily clip will freeze the app for 1-2 seconds and you often see big FPS drops viewing videos in the app. Previous versions never had this issue.
