Can't login to use app

I just downloaded this app 10 minutes ago and it doesn't offer me an option to create an account. And only offers me the option to sign in as though I had an existing account. The app is unusable and less you login with an active account for. I've deleted and re-downloaded the app several times, but the problem still persists. Unless this problem is fixed, the app is useless to me since I can't see the content.

Why does this paper/app struggle so with focus? Every release says it improves focus problems and every release fails to do so. This one is no exception. High quality paper with a lousy interface. If it doesn't get fixed in the next attempt, I will cancel my subscription.

This app was a perfect five stars before the update. The updated app has lost its mind for focusing and scrolling. It also now opens in article mode instead of browser mode. Focusing when zooming with a tap doesn't work reliably. Usually you have to either minimize and tap again, or expand a little bit and then reduce after it focuses. And the scrolling ! Whether you stay in contact with the screen or lift your finger, if you scroll the slightest bit quickly, then the screen jumps! Very frustrating to scroll very slowwwwly around. Please fix the app, or just put the old one back. Update June 14th - no action yet. Don't they read our comments? I also have noticed that the new version crashes a lot also. Update June 28th - received some very helpful email feedback from the Times and the app developer. Things are much improved if you delete the app, reinstall the app, and log in. This new install really helps the scrolling and focusing a lot. Hopefully the app fixes will be available shortly. I am adding a star. Update Aug 6th - the new app is much improved in all areas except for focusing. Sometimes, nothing will make a page focus. In those cases I have been able to focus the adjoining page and scroll back to the page I wanted. Please fix the focus.

No where does it say you have to pay for subscription to the paper in some way to get the "e-paper" Booooo bad app developers!!! ?
From favorite app to unusable.

The current update has ruined this exceptional application. It now crashes repetitively. I assumed the "improvement" mistake would be corrected or simply provide an option to return to the previous (working) version. I was wrong and will be forced to find a more reliable source for local news. I assume the members of the Times executive staff don't use their own digital media because they would have addressed this issue before it acquired so many negative reviews and created lost revenue.

Within the past 4-5 days, your obituary section has acquired a bug. The names are either missing letters, or the whole name. Everything else is legible.
Please fix!

I updated because the app had slowed down. The update now crashes repeatedly, challenging me to decide just how bad I want to look at the news. Love the paper, and I really want to be able to read it!

Obviously this app is not meant for the iPhone's! Maybe an update that actually made it better would help, but since you guys don't read the reviews, you much think people are content with junk! Delete and cancel my subscription too
