You can only play iTunes “Remote” through your home computer. Then Why on Earth would this be called “Remote”? It’s definitely NOT “remote”. If it were, I could play my iTunes playlists on any device I wanted to. You can’t do that with this app. You have to get AirPlay Speakers for it to work. Tsk tsk! This app is useless as I may as well just use regular Home Sharing from my phone and connect it to any device I wish.

If you’re going to have an app in the AppStore, make sure it actually works and not sometimes. Won’t connect over home sharing OR manually.

I’ve been using this app for years. It’s a fantastic app for playing my music library from my iMac to my Apple TV’s. I have 4 older Apple TV’s in different rooms connected to audio sound systems. I also use 1 HomePod. I can control each room for what I want to play and the volume for each. One request, I wish this app was available for the Apple Watch.
This app usually works fine with my ITunes library

Yes. This remote makes more sense and looks better on iPad than native ‘music’ app. What else can I say?

Honestly, the app is as the title says. It began as a really good app. I enjoyed being able to control my iTunes from anywhere in the house. However, now, it rarely connects. I’m forced to use Home Sharing. Even then, if I leave it for too long, it seems to forget that I’m connected and then won’t reconnect. If it gets all the bugs worked out, it might be worth while. Update: Downloaded this app again a few years later and it still has the same problems. Worthless app.
