I gave the new version 6.0 one star only because they won’t let you use negative numbers. This version is horrible and I wish there was some way to uninstall and go back to the earlier version. The app is clumsy, cartoonish, and very cumbersome to use. What you could accomplish in 1 step before takes multiple steps now. For example, before if you hadn’t checked your email for a couple of days and you wanted to delete a bunch of garbage, you could just go down the list selecting them and hit delete. Now if you try that, it only deletes one day’s worth. You have to go to each day, select the items, hit delete...repeat..repeat !! What an inefficient app ! I‘be been with AOL for almost 40 years, but now I’m seriously thinking of switching to gmail after this upgrade abortion.

Google mail blows this crappie email service out of the water! Way to many ads with crappie aol. Gmail is the way to go plain and simple no ads at all in gmail. I’m surprised that aol isn’t bankrupt yet.

Big Disappointment

Back in October AOL said their email would only be supported on their app. Having had an AOL email address since the mod-90’s, I went with their advice and downloaded the app. For the first few months it was fine. However, since early January, the app is not functioning properly. Namely, it no longer sends notifications when new emails arrive. I’ve tried everything to fix it and it still doesn’t work. This is a BIG disappointment. Maybe it’s time to get into 2021 and relieve myself of AOL.

The new app is a huge improvement. I’ve had the same address since the 90s and I get spammed without mercy. I can now pick what I want to read and delete the rest with ease.

iPhone 12 issues

I can not receive my new emails on my iPhone 12 without opening the app and forcing them to load. I also do not receive notifications of mail. I have tried playing around with my settings and nothing works. So very frustrating!!

AOL won't open on my Ipad anymore

A try to open the app and the screen turns blue and goes back to the screen with apps. I would like to use this iPad to check mail. Can you help?
